I was told by someone the location is set, near Yankee Stadium. 27k expandable to 35k
Still 3 years off if they start tomorrow. The club is mimicking a 737Max right now and is in a fiery tailspin.... can’t survive waiting that long for CFG to actually care about the malpractice management they’ve left in place.

Who’s she?

Reporter for MLS female. She Guest hosted once on the nation podcast towards the end of last season.

But the reason I believe her is it’s much more plausible that the positive news was a club leak to distract us from the negativity of our play. And this negative news in the midst of no club information (from somebody who has a reputation to uphold) makes more sense.

Ok, but is that a news source with serious contacts in the league? I’m not being sarcastic, I honestly don’t know who they are or what their track record is. I don’t doubt Dan has his contacts as the Forums are widely known and read.

Too soon.

Not really.

Just to confuse the fuck out of everyone...

This is absolutely not true.

Just read the comments on any MLS site and everyone is pretty much saying what a disgrace it is that we are still playing on a baseball field.

And you know what, they are right.

In any other city, this would not have been acceptable(unless a stadium plan was in nailed in place). 5 years in and this situation isn't getting any better.

As much as its great to support a team from New York, the chase by MLS for the expansion fee and an increase in TV money has caused a situation which has become a detriment to the club itself.

I've always believed if you do something, do it right the first time or dont bother at all.

The field has been far worse this year than it's ever been before. I've never it where it was this bad that entire sheets are coming up when a player tries to juke. It's legitimately a safety hazard now. Completely unacceptable from the stadium grounds crew to have the field in such a dangerous condition.

How close to the situation is the person who told you?
They heard it from someone close to the situation.
I really don’t have club contacts. They basically told us year one they don’t want to be affiliated.
The one time I was given access to the club was when they were down here for a preseason match. I asked Viera for a pic after the match and one of the clubs reps got between us, pushed me away (physically pushed me away) then got in my face and said ‘you’re either a fan or you’re medier’ (he was English, that’s how it sounded).
I honestly wouldn’t even answer an email if I got one.
