Are there any assistant coaches still here that could act as a caretaker manager until the summer window/new CFG hire is found? I totally agree he is probably going to stay, but if they just have a temporary promotion from someone who has been here a while, that would negate a lot of the coaching shuffle problems that we are worried about.

PV cleaned house and I’m sure took anyone and everyone worth a damn with him.

I am confident that Kitman would be a substantial upgrade over Dome.

The problem with Wagner is that we have no idea if he's any good. Huddersfield lucked into promotion after being pretty bad in the Championship, then played two terrible seasons in the Prem. It's possible he got the most out of a bad roster on a mismanaged team, but we really have no idea.
His first year in the premiership was fine, especially for a club that did what typical promoted teams do: don’t overinvest because of expected relegation. Problem was they did play well enough to stay up, and as a result of doing so with a non-reinforced roster, they again left it as was thinking Wagner could again work his magic. As we’ve seen this year, their roster is abysmally equipped to mount any sort of challenge to evade relegation. Not Wagners fault, he was never given the resources to succeed. The club’s owners got what they deserved this season, the fans got a punch in the mouth suffering through their miserly management. The similarities between Huddlefield and NYCFC roster bolstering is strangely similar.

Between being Minnesota's first opponent in their new stadium and going to DC immediately after that, there's a pretty good chance we are 0-3-4 through 7 games.

How does Dome survive that? I understand the team doesn't necessarily want to fire him, but is it even possible to survive a 7-game season-opening winlesss streak?

Really curious and I can’t find any listed anywhere.... but does Dome actually possess any coaching badges???

We can all only hope we go winless and when I say winless, what I mean is get blown out the next two matches. This club has to hit rock bottom for changes to be made.

Schalke's manager survived until quite late into the season with a stint like that.

The only credential he needed was friend of Pep. Kinda like NFL teams hiring people who peed in a stall next to Sean McVay.
Ha! Yeah, I got that, but technically, every 1st division coach is supposed to have the requisite credentials to hold the position, so this looks like USSoccermade an exception and looks bad having done so.

I know in Europe, former players have been granted exemptions while managing because they were actively engaged in a program to obtain the badge, but I seriously doubt Dome is doing night school for his.
