NYCFC message to the rest of MLS:

If someone can translate "They hate us because they ain't us" into Latin that should be the team motto.

I can't translate that exact phrase, but I'm reminded of the motto used as a personal motto by both the Roman Emperor Caligula and King Richard I of England (the one in Robin Hood):

"Oderint dum metuant"
"Let them hate so long as they fear"

Normally they mention if it's a DP contract as the league still sees that as a selling point for fans. Usually it's front and center. In this case, I don't see it at all so it's safe to assume it's not. Also, this is a huge win for NYCFC if thats the case.

MLS and Kreis said it's non-DP. Go a few pages back.

Well it looks like you guys got a late Christmas present!

Will look forward to watching him play for New York

Can you tell me what he will bring to the team?

This is a great job by management to grab a player of his caliber under a non-DP contract. Still disappointed with the other decisions, but this is sneaky good. A step in the right direction.

I hope we fill the third DP slot and don't just go with two. In season one, we should be going all out. Would be worth it.

No, they are not booing, they are chanting DISKERUUUUUUUUUUUUD!!!!!!!
