I give you the best acquisition ever: Frank Lampard.

Now the season is virtually over, how many players do people think will be released?

It seems to me that for one reason or another there are quite a few players who have played no part in our team. Will all or most of these players be released?

Then there are ones who have quite clearly shown they are not good enough and now find themselves out of the team.

Whatever happens, I hope the player acquisition is much better than this season. I especially would like to see some wide players signed to give us a better balanced player roster.

I think it'll be better simply because we know what our strengths and weaknesses are now.

Looks like we only have a first round pick left in the 2016 Superdraft. We traded the rest away.
Jeb from Montreal - 2nd rd
Jacobson from Dallas - 3rd rd
Lord Kwame from Salt Lake - 4th rd

We didn't gain any from the trading? Kreis is notorious for disregarding the draft to be honest. Look at SLC.
To be honest the only pick that might be worth anything is the second round pick. That worth isn't much and Jeb is growing on me he's a versatile backup. 3rd and 4th rounders aren't worth anything and we actually got a huge steal in Jacobson for a 3rd. It'll just make the draft a nice quick watch for us.

The biggest error in all of it was the decision to take the first slot in the allocation order and let Orlando have the first pick in the super draft. They signed Brek the diver before we signed mix so it ended up being useless and we missed out on Larin who right now looks way better than Shelton. Don't get me wrong I like Shelton but he essentially has one move: "I'm going to kick the ball into space and then race you to it".

Yeah I agree, Shelton has a ton of athletic ability he's tall and super fast. He essentially has zero touch at this point and his shooting ability is below average. However, that being said he has a ton of potential. Larin is significantly better and will make is way to Europe sooner vs later. I do think Shelton can develop into a huge threat for this club if he can stay on the field. So I don't think it's the end of the world how things turned out. Plus Larin counts as an international spot since he's Canadian which how our roster is constructed we need as many of those as we can get.

Khiry will hopefully learn a lot from Villa and some from Man City strikers if they continue to train offseason in Manchester.

I don't think Shelton is today's star for us, but he may certainly be the future's star. Can't wait to see Poku, Shelton, and Mix running the team in five years.

Going by the twitter hubbub, Facey extended his Man City contract til June 2018. No mention of NYCFC in their latest one.

I did think it was a little odd/unprecedented sending someone out on loan for 2.5 years!
