Uk Supporters

Hey Shane, where in the UK are you based? I will have to miss the Hudson River Derby, but will be in London (May 21st) and hope that I can catch it somewhere/anywhere. Do you know if it is likely that any pubs will show the match?

I know I'm a bit late to the party (well...a whole week - I don't check this area of the forum as much as I should) but it looks like matchpint.co.uk will tell you a selection of pubs across the UK showing each MLS game. They've only got the pubs they know about, which hardly constitute a majority, and MLS doesn't show in many places, even at a time when there's not much competition from other leagues, but you should still get a few options.

I would invite you up to my home town to watch the game, which is just up the east coast rail line from London, but it's pretty small here and I don't think anywhere covers MLS hereabouts (and also I'm pretty dull company on my own).

Try checking this out closer to the time. It only seems to give you information about games a week in advance, but it's better than nothing.

Haha. I figured you'd clocked already to be honest. I don't post as much as you (not at the moment, anyway) but half of my posts seem to end up referencing not being American in one way or the other, much as I try to avoid doing it.

Tbh just getting used to this forum so I'm starting to pick up of the constant members who post and that, apologies on the amount of posts, think it's more to make a impression and get to know the members better

No worries. As I say, I've been subconsciously keeping to the background a lot recently so not surprised I'm not the most visible member. I'm always there or thereabouts though.

I'm curious, whereabouts in Manchester are you? I've got a lot of family in Cheshire and come up for games (not for your lot, unfortunately) every now and then - I'm vaguely familiar with various areas of the city.

Outskirts about a 30 mins drive, I live nearer Bolton than Manchester but I generally say Manchester because everyone heard of it

Ah that's fair enough. I'm mainly familiar with the area south of Manchester if truth be told, but still good to know.

It's a UK based YouTube show hosted by 2 Brits discussing all things MLS, if your looking for a alternative take on the sport definitely worth a look at

Anyone going to be watching the derby at a pub in London? My friends who I am traveling will hate me for skipping out on dinner - but I will be at The Hoop and Grape on Farringdon Street because I've never missed a match and don't plan to start with the HRD.

Regrettably it's a little out of my way. I'm not sure it's very practical for me to get into London for the game. Sorry :(

No problem. You helped me find the bar! I used matchpint.co.uk and luckily the pub is a 5 minute walk from my hotel.
