You won't be wrong.

Please, Seth and Gotham Gator Gotham Gator (maybe even FootyLovin should return) , come give the masses their opiates.

Orlando had a midweek game a lot like ours (except they came away with a point. They benched half their starters but then brought in a few (Kaka, Higuita, Rivas) chasing a result. Latin went the full 90. They have longer travel than we do and we're up later last night.

But, they are also going home, and they will be very hard to beat there.

Thoughts on Camargo?

Not even I have enough opiates for people to tolerate seeing him in this game after his performance in the last one.

I need to prevent myself for the rest of the week to get hyped about this game. I'm already marking it as a loss. Rest up. Focus on Atlanta next Sunday.

Chanot, Wallace, and Sweat will be rested. Very nervous about the midfield though. If there was ever a game to bunker and counter, it's this one.

I don't know. We totally controlled possession the first time around.

But Maxi and Ring just played two full road games in the last six days. And who's our third midfielder now that Pirlo is on his deathbed, McNamara is struggling, and Herrera is on international duty? Lopez? Stertzer?

Our front lines and back lines will be close to full strength. If we were more creative, I might suggest a 3-5-2 with Okoli up top with Villa, and Wallace and Harrison running the full wings. Ring and Moralez in the middle, and Chanot flanked by Callens and Brillant. Bunker, play down the wings, and counter with long balls up to Okoli.

Until we get recked by Orlando.
Prediction... We play a 3-2-3-2

I get it, Orlando has had NYCFC's number, even after by most metrics NYCFC outplayed ORL in the first two games.

Why so much "we're dooooooooomed" talk around here? This isn't Barcelona we are talking about here. Orlando won a bunch of early games by one goal while generally getting outplayed. Regression to the mean is a bitch, folks. Bendik is not Gigi Buffon. Larin played full 90 in SJ on Wednesday.

Time for ORL to lose a home game - I don't think they will go undefeated. They may win 9 out of 10 times, but not on Sunday! Who's with me?

I hope we go with a mostly full lineup. I think Villa and Harrison will be good to go, as will be Wallace. If we can somehow miraculously get 60 out of Ring, I'd be very happy. Will we see Chanot-Callens in the back? Return of Ben Sweat is alright in my book. I'd even take Pirlo back in the lineup given Ring can start, but he must be a little worn down.

It's a lot to ask of the team, but I hope they really go at Orlando and try to score early, maybe give up the higher pressing to save Villa and Jack after they've played 120-130mins in the last week and really try to possess and break down Orlando's midfield and back line. Villa and Harrison looked so crisp together vs. RSL that it was a shame we had to eventually go long with everything. They were really "on".
