Wallace is healthy. Chanot and Sands timeline are still uncertain. Matarrita even longer.

I thought I read the other day that Mata was placed on the season ending list?.?. He's listed in the same paragraph as Camargo but with different wording so it's possible they're trying to spin it as not being as bad, and maybe holding out hope he'll return since we have zero reinforcements signed. I'm assuming he's done until we hear something positive.

He's not on the season-ending injury list but he's very likely out for the regular season. Maybe he'll be available for the playoffs. But that's a long shot.

Last Sunday Wallace and Matarrita were at the City Send Off. Chanot and Sands were not.

I guess I'm impressed Mata was there considering his injury and questions about how long he will be with the Club.

How crazy is it to think about having Villa replace Maxi as the number 10 and putting Ugo into the starting lineup? I would never expect it to happen, but I think it would be pretty interesting to see. As it has been said before, Villa often thinks like a number 10, so we know he is very capable. And Maxi gets forward quite a bit, so it's not like Villa would never be close to the goal. He could essentially play it as a secondary striker and play off of Ugo.

If Hererra and Ring can handle the water carrying so Villa doesn't have to constantly defend (more than he usually does as a forward), then I think it could be quite interesting. It'd also mess up LA's defensive tactics. But not sure it's worth moving our most lethal scoring assassin from his set position - would rather move Jack.

With the defensive work rate he puts in, I would even say if we have a lead.

Yep. I still like the lineup I posted earlier with Lewis and Shelton on the wing and Jack attacking from the midfield. Wallace can sub on at 60' for Lewis.

This has me really curious. Not sure I'd do it, but this is another one of those scenarios which it would be nice to "simulate" the match and see how that would work out.

I really do not want JJJ to have multiple opportunities to crunch Villa in open field tackles. He's liable to go in out of control and we'd watch our season evaporate.

Walking back home I saw someone wearing this shirt...So I guess we know who is starting. And apologies for the Premier League game spoiler...

GAME DAY...*

* - for the first half.

I know Galaxy aren't as bad as their record would say, and they have dealt with a lot of injuries, and they have a fancy new DP, and they have a new coach, and they are desperate to get a win to get back into the playoffs...I don't care. This should be 3 points today. Galaxy are winless in their last 7 games and have only won once at home all year. Once! No excuses, go out and get a win today
