Jo Inge Berget [Forward]

I worded it poorly. I was thinking of negotiating the difficulties of political dialogue as more of a skill and less like trying to fight a physical property of the universe.
As you yourself have demonstrated in the past, most folks idea of negotiating politics begins and ends with the idea that people agree with them or they are wrong.

Oh the hypocrisy. Norway, a country whose people literally lose their minds about anything over a tiny immigration increase, especially if it’s African.

FTR, I can be in agreement and also point out the hypocrisy.

As far as I know, all Scandinavian countries receive many more refugees as a percentage of population than the US does. As for immigrants in general, well, to have a very long border with a third world country (Mexico), which in turns serves as in-transit territory for even poorer countries south of it, kind of facilitates to have more people coming into the country by their own means (instead of there being more formal refugees), whereas in Europe the multitudes who come by their own means crossing the Mediterranean on those flimsy boats usually end up staying in some intermediate point because Scandinavia is the farthest north. There must be all kinds of internal dynamics, and I'm sure Norway and all the rest are very racist countries indeed (same as the US IMHO) but they are also just faaar from poorer areas.

Norway is in no way a "racist country". Of course there are a few people with a very narrow mind (and they are often quite loud), but in general all the Nordic countries honour human rights better than most other nations.

Now wearing #9. I asked about it at the homecoming event and it was something like this, but I may have misunderstood parts of it:
-He previously wore 23, but that wasn’t available, so he flipped it to 32 before they told him 9 was available. It seems he wore 19 at some point with the Norwegian national team so since he couldn’t take 19 he just dropped the 1 and took 9.

Leave it to the Viking to be the one making numbers complicated. What forward wouldn’t want #9 when available???

And doubly strange that #11 is also available - this team needs forwards in a serious way.

PV just needs to figure out how to get numbers 7, 9, 19 on the field at the same time while leaving #8, 10, 30 intact behind them. Can the Viking mesh with the Spaniard and The Jesus?

Yeah. I think someone mentioned that Medina took 19 before Jack's exit was confirmed. But maybe we're planning to fill that number in the summer transfer window...?

Someone buy this guy a jersey that fits.
It’s not just the jersey, but also his black travel zip top was loose/baggy, which is designed to be fitting. Seems he’s just caught in a time warp of the early 90’s fashion craze of wearing overly baggy clothing. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out he combines big cargo shorts with wool socks and Birkenstocks and a Peruvian knit cap with the long dangles on each side.

Little tidbit from SITC two-weeks ago that I found interesting, is that Berget grew up and is friends with Ola Kamara and Mix. Both gave favorable reviews of the team and the league. The report from the other thread about Orlando being interested in him last year is very interesting. Wonder if Mix warned him about Kreis.

But didn't Mix have even more trouble with PV as he did with Kreis?

Really, that anyone would come to NYCFC after consulting with Mix just adds to the mystery.
