Are you sure you're not confusing him with another poster that has Poku in his avatar? NY Soccer Kid

No, he's overreacted to me before.

Apparently, I'm not allowed to make a joke on this forum, about myself, to my brother.

I guess I just don't take this forum seriously enough. I'm just glad he's here to police the place.

I did apologize for my comment re: what you said to your brother because at the time I made the comment, I didn’t know he was your brother. Look two or three posts below my original comment and you’ll see my apology.

So i’m not sure what you're referring to. Once again... going out of your way.

When we get a stadium, we'll bitch about the grass.

Here's what I got. I don't follow this stuff closely enough to know if there are any stadium tea leaves hidden in the non-soccer parts of the Willets Point discussion.

edit: Shoutout to Nick Chávez for lifting my manual transcription without credit. Thanks bud.
Do we know what CFG may be asking to have subsidized as part of the proposal?

They aren't looking for taxpayers to pay for part of this, are they?

I mean, the one guy who would definitely know was asked about it and this was his immediate response. Could be that he's got a different kind of "subsidy" in mind than what we might normally think of, but he clearly sees something in what's been proposed so far that he doesn't like.

Yeah, being an outsider and not knowing the details, the only thing being subsidized to my knowledge at the moment would be affordable housing, subsidized by CFG. The other way around.

But that said, I am obviously not familiar with the proposal and what subsidies might be coming CFG's way.

Most likely they’d be looking for some kind of PILOT (payment in lieu of taxes) deal which is what Yankee Stadium and CitiField got, IIRC.
Probably, I'd just be curious to see what that is in comparison to the affordable housing.

Basically, my point is (without knowing the details obviously), is this a case where the CEO of the NYC EDC doesn't support materially subsidizing a stadium, or is this a case where its easy to use that as an argument because he generally doesn't want a stadium there?
