A Spanish guy on an American network led a Belgium team to the semifinals.

So you need three different nationalities for it to work. I know there's a German guy on a British network that will be coaching a Japanese team in 2022.

Allez Les Bleus! Thank God I don't work Sunday's. Could not watch today but am off so I can watch England-Croatia tomorrow. As a France fan (after USA of course) I've been lucky enough now that this will be my third World Cup final and 5th major final including Euros I've seen them play in.

Not sure how I’m going to sleep with the game tomorrow.
I think we have a chance. I want to say England has scored all but two of their goals from set pieces so if we neutralize them there there’s a possibility we can win this one. I think we have to do it in 90 tho. If we don’t take a lead in the 1st half it’ll be very difficult. We just played back to back penalties. The guy will be gassed in the second half.

I just realized that England have scored a total of two goals from the run of play (I am not counting Kane's unintended deflection for this).

Tunisia (Corner, Corner)
Panama (Corner, PK, Run of Play, Corner, PK, Deflection)
Belgium (None)
Colombia (PK)
Sweden (Corner, Run of Play)
I’ll call it out. It’s terrible. But...they have played positive and pragmatic, and that’s how they have gotten so many opportunities.

Theyve cashed, so well done.

I still don’t see how Kane is so lucky. He is the epitome of gifted goals. Of course, he’d claim it either way.

Point is, England are good At soccering about town. Not so much at being good in attack.

If AOC were there, I’d feel better.

That ref is something else... totally missing fouls by Croatia

I thought the match today was spectacular. Once Croatia pushed Perisic da god up higher, they just ran England into the ground.

John Stones really ought to defend sometime if he’s going to try to make this whole PL center back thing work out for him.

Also, I like me some of that Rebic on the wing. Wouldn’t mind him at Liverpool. He’s quality.

And Modric is amazing. Like, literally. Amazing.

Mandzukic is just so smart. Brozovic was dominant.

Well damn done by Croatia. Just really well done.

Mandzukic is a beast. One more reason I dislike Pep. MM scores goals in big games by any means necessary, my Bayern ass misses him so much lol.

Weird how Croatia has been down in each of their 3 knockout round games and gone on to win. Almost like they're trying to lull the opponents into a false sense of hope before shitting on their dreams. Loved seeing the Croatian midfield slowly take over the game, especially in the 2nd half.

England only have themselves to blame. Looked the much better team for the first 20-30 minutes, then got overly confident and laid back. By the time they realized they had fucked up, they couldn't turn the momentum train around. Interesting to see if they learn from this and realize they can't let off when they have a knife to the throat of their opponent.

France - Croatia should be a good game.
