2019 Season Ticket Thread

It's entirely irresponsible to continue to pay for my seats but I just can't not do it.

So, we've passed the 9/15 auto-renewal date...

Anyone else cancel for 2019? Became a member? Thoughts in general?

The focus groups served their purpose. It gave me hope that we're close to an announcement even though there's ZERO evidence that this is true. Granted, even if they announced today we'd still be at YS for 4 more years.

I renewed.

My biggest complaint is reselling tickets. I'm ok taking a loss on games I can't go to, but it's such a cluster. Hopefully that gets fixed.

I'll probably be back for 2020 season as a STH, and will just wing next year and see what happens.

Renewed but dropped a ticket as my wife didn’t make it to many games and the resale hassle and economics weren’t worth it

Renewed, but dropped 2 of 6 and moving 2 of 4 remaining to SS. Taking a 30-50% loss on midfield 1st row Main level seats was the straw started breaking the camel's back.

I don't think I'd ever drop my Champs seats, although they are virtually unsellable on Stubhub.

One of the only things that kept me was the ability to just cash in any match I can't attend and get extra seats or upgrade for another match.

It's a small sample size but the number of forum members not renewing or at least dropping some seats seems much higher than in seasons past. If diehards on these boards are not renewing you'd have to assumed other more casual fans are leaving in considerable numbers as well. With our poor stretch of form ending the season, a possible first round playoff bounce looming and a very unclear outlook for star power on the roster for next season when do we start getting worried? How quickly will drastic attendance drops start impacting the team's willingness to spend and the stadium plans (if there are any)? Are they going to panic and force fit another Lampard or Pirlo onto the roster regardless of fit to try to save ticket sales?

i think the the people who arent renewing its more to do with with secondary market being cheaper and problems selling tickets they cant use rather than team performance. on top of that stub hub was a fucking disaster.

That still seems like it's going to drive down total sales for the team. Right now a large chunk of season tickets that the team already has money for just go unsold because of the soft secondary market and the stubhub difficulties. Those leaving will remove money from the season ticket pool and likely replace it by buying secondary market tickets which does nothing for the team. So it's still a net loss for the team in total ticket sales.

Team did it to themselves with their greedy resale policy. Very short sighted if you ask me. I’d rather buy on the cheap from the suckers than be the sucker anymore.
