Agree, I think college-graduate soccer players are starting to realize the 16 and 17 year olds that are coming up through academies are better than they are and have a shit ton more potential. Also, they have a backup plan with their degrees and such. Like you said, they may be receiving a better offer vs. their current MLS salary, a better deal over a longer time, or even both (better short & long term). I wouldn't be surprised if TMac pulls something similar this year or next.

I don't think MCFC has any intention of keeping him around. This is purely a move by them to loan him out and sell him later on for more money.
Presumably they know/expect that Cincy will sign someone first and they get next shot. Otherwise this trade was worthless. So who is Cincy taking?
