2019 MLS Kit Thread

When a team switches sponsors, how do they handle the jersey that wasn't scheduled for a refresh that year? Do they just manufacture the same design but with the new sponsor?
I fear NYCFC fans will never be bothered with this dilemma.

Yeah, they redo the older shirt to have the new sponsor. So it would potentially be possible to have two different versions of the same shirt due to a sponsor swap.
Not in MLS, but some teams do also swap sponsors for a few weeks if the sponsor wants to promote something along their brand line (re: T-Mobile & Bayern). Magenta TV is T-Mobile's online TV streaming station, just launched late last year.

What’s with the ghosted women in the background????
There was a promo video with a bunch of kids unenthusiastically talk about the new kit and supporting the dumpster Fire who went on to be 10/11 in the Eastern Conference at 8 wins 18 losses and 8 draws. So I would say prescient ghosts

Some euro clubs even have separate deals with different sponsors for different competitions.

Technically... it still has 5 red stripes?
But, will they be the 9 stripes now? Do they gain 2 stripes each year the club is in existence? Or did they gain 4 stripes with the MLS Cup win?

They did gain a gold star.
