Yes. He was on a number of transition breaks last season where he hawked down balls sent into space and easily beat the opposing defenders. He’s not Mata-fast, but Mata is probably the fastest guy on the team.
I mean, sometime defenders get beat, and Sweat has beaten some defenders. But I've never seen him run and thought to myself that he was fast, let alone extremely fast.

Based on watching last season, I would probably put Sweat behind Matarrita, Tinny, Callens, Ibeagha, Isi, Medina, Taty, Lewis, Berget, Ring, and Ofori in terms of speed on this team. Maybe on par with Maxi.

You must not have been on the chats-boxes when people gushed about how they could not believe it was Sweat in the break out, much like what Shwafta Shwafta posted above.

I think your list is off a bit. I don’t remember Isi being extremely fast (he’s super quick, like Maxi, in tight spaces but not necessarily top end fast). Medina is supposed to be fast and his kick-run tactic never worked and he was caught repeatedly - maybe I’m blanking on him because I dislike his play so much. Definitely don’t think Ofori is super fast, not that he’s TMac slow. The only ones I’m confident are faster are Mata, Lewis, Callens, and probably Ring. Tinny is a tossup. Not sure about Taty. And I don’t think Berget nor Ibeagha are faster.

I don’t know where else to put this but former President Tom Glick now works for the Carolina Panthers and they’re trying to bring MLS to Charlotte.

Maybe he can get them a stadium...

False, Mata is not faster then ITS Lewis Taty. Not with the ball not running nothing.

Translate for the plebeians of us..... if this is for a stadium, why would CFG invest in VC fund and not be a direct stakeholder? Is this a way to protect liability, or funnel money without being directly attached to it (launder) for tax purposes?

I read it once. Has nothing to do with the stadium. I honestly don’t understand what it is. It reads like a sports marketing arm for CFG.

According to Bloomberg Business of Sports podcast from yesterday if I understand the conversation, "the Jets, 49ers, AEG, MLB, Adidas, a few NHL teams, as well as CFG are looking tech and media that are not currently in sports, that could be applicable in sports. The first investment is a videogame maker called Phoenix Labs. They are looking for idea for the broader sports world.".
