13 goals and 3 assists in 18 matches this year. Regardless of level those are solid numbers. Cautiously optimistic with him.

I don't know if this has been asked or is known. How big is the romanian community in NYC. Will we see a bump in attendance or see romanian flags on stands?

Wiki says:

The Romanian community of New York City is the largest such community in North America. The 2000 Census reported 161,900 Romanians were living in New York City. They are mainly concentrated in Queens, as well as in parts of Manhattan and Staten Island. The Romanian Day Festival, for which the City closes a section of Broadway, demonstrates the strong sense of community of Romanians living in New York.

I guess, he would draw better in Willets Point.

This was my first thought as well. He looks great when he has a player knocking a ball down to him.

We don’t have that. I have no clue how we’ll get this guy the ball.

Exactly. Looks good, but he needs the chance to be creative. 1v1 he may get neutralized. Maybe Maxi plays deeper now and we move some holding strength up top. Maxi does seem to like to go back and get the ball a lot anyway.

I was reading the comments on the mlssoccer site and couldn't help but think if Mitri was Bolivian ( or some other South American Country) and had been tearing up the Bolivian league for the last 2 years after playing Serie B/Serie A at 19/20, the signing would be hailed by everyone as brilliant.

At that transfer price, I assume the CFG scouting team thinks Mitri is a baller and will tear it up in MLS and they can make money on the signing.

Romanian league is definitely obscure. It does make sense for him to be on CFG radar as an investment. Pluck trending players from small leagues, have them show success in a weaker league and sell them for a profit.
