As down as I am with Kreis, I say give him another year, let him find players that fit whatever he's trying to do as long as it's not Grabavoy and Wingert.

That will never happen. MCFC needs to find their own coach to run the team they want it run. It's obvious they disagree. Not entirely Kreis' fault but he has shown to not be able to manage this particular team.
He doesn't deserve another year. I was on the fence. But how he beats down his team and throw the team under the bus after the loss is horrible. He basically thinks he is not at any fault here - not good for morale and sure way to lose the locker room. You can't place the blame on the entire team. I noticed when several players get subbed off last game, he just sat there emotionless, did not acknowledge them or shake hands....no leadership material here. I have seen too many executives like him in my life, fast corporate ladder climber, talk his/her way into higher job, the whole team suffers because of his/her lack of experience and strategic mistakes, then s/he starts blame everyone around and shuffling teams hoping next round will bring better luck. Victory is not going to happen that wayAs down as I am with Kreis, I say give him another year, let him find players that fit whatever he's trying to do as long as it's not Grabavoy and Wingert.
You can be a dick and win.
You can be a nice guy and lose.
You can't be a dick and lose.
Look I know CFG is patient buts that's because man city finished 2nd in the PL not at the bottom of the table! I think kreis isn't the right man for the job and will be in Seattle next season when sigi gets sackedNot sure I agree with that. Think you'll find CFG giving coaches more time before sacking them than most people would give them credit for, but we'll see. Of course, whether people will approve of Kreis being given a second season...
Got to admit, I'm generally far more patient than most would be regarding managers and season expectations and so on, and so I was never really that bothered about our form as I always had the first season down as a write-off regardless of results, but even I'm starting to change my mind on Kreis. I'm hoping that his team selections are just down to the little things about building a squad that the fans don't see, but I can't help starting to agree that I'm not sure he knows how to build a squad from scratch.
From what I've seen I really don't like Petke. As a motivator he seems just like Kreis. The only things I ever heard from him in interviews were how the team wasn't performing. Just like Kreis, he is great at the beatdown. Not sure if he has any of the lifting up skill.
Great coaches need to be able to critique but not by just being critical assholes. That's not motivation. It's scare tactic bullying and it tends to do horrible things to teams. (Ours being a great current case in point.)
I'm not saying that's the only part that makes or breaks a coach, but I think shouting out orders and showing a little emotion and direction is a positive quality.Does Frank Klopas walk the sideline enough for you? Is that really the criteria?
There are few people in MLS that know more about the intricacies of the league than Kreis. From league structure to the financial restraints the league operates under. This is not to mention his success as both player and MLS cup winning manager. You want to argue his tactics, team selection and what seems to be loyalties to his former RSL players? Fine there are points to be made there but let's not run him out of town after a season that had so many moving parts least of all a roster of cast offs and I would say 2 DP'S that were forced on the team.
Let Kreis get the players he wants in here next year and start to be able to put his system together. This was never gonna happen this year as you can see how it's turned into a marketing year to put asses in seats. That's not Kreis' fault.
