Who has played on the turf field there and what type of shoe do you recommend? Will normal cleats work or better to go with turf shoes?

Regarding normal cleats, do you find your foot getting stuck in the turf more than normal? As a 43yo, I have no desire to experience the plant-cut-pop of my ACL....

Thanks!

Does the league allow normal cleats? I know of some turf leagues that don't allow for players to wear firm ground cleats. If yes you should be fine with those, unless you feel that the grip they give you is too much. I've never worn turf cleats but am interested in buying a pair, so unfortunately I can't help you in that regard. I've also worn indoor (rubber bottomed) soccer shoes on turf and have been fine with them, only bad thing is making a quick turn is nigh impossible due to the lack of any cleat spoke catching the ground.

Rank:
1. Regular cleat is fine (if allowed)
2. Turf
3. Indoor
4. Regular Sneaker

I have never used normal cleats to play on turf and always use my turf shoes. They work really well and prevent you from slipping much more then wearing indoor. Matter of fact I wear turf shoes as my "regular sneaker". So I'm always ready to play ;)

There's also a difference between "artificial grass" boots and turf boots. IMO the BBP turf is a little too shallow for AG cleats. Turf boots tend to afford slightly better feel for the ball on the sole.
