2017 Forum H2H League & Pigeon Cup

If we did 3 divisions: High priced, Entry Priced and Free. What would you like to pay?

  • $100 - high priced

  • $75 - high priced

  • $50 - high priced

  • $25 - entry priced

  • $20 - entry priced

  • Free - lower division

Results are only viewable after voting.

But we are talking about $50-$25 differences here, I think it's more about are people comfortable gambling rather then can they afford to play. Personally, I chose $50. I'd rather do $100 but saw a good amount of $50 votes and didn't want to have the $50s pushed aside. So that's where you can find me and I suck.

PS if we get enough votes maybe we do a $25, $50 and $100 league...

I literally meant I wanted to play against the dumb money, nothing about amount.

Gah. No explanation needed. I play other fantasy stuff with some guys whose salaries make me blush and their cheap asses will only do $25 buyins and it damn near requires a collection agency.

Unless we get 10 for $100, we'll combine to the lowest popular amount not to force anyone into paying more then they are comfortable.

I'm changing the poll to see who voted. We need to see who's signing up and I've come to the conclusion it's not embarrassing. Whatever is chosen will be where you're signing up for anyway. It's just preference. I'll also allow more then one vote to join multiple leagues.

Edit: NYCFC_Dan NYCFC_Dan Falastur , how come I can't edit the poll anymore to show who voted?

It's a privacy issue so the forum software won't allow that. If you're doing a public poll it needs to be selected at the beginning so that the people voting know their votes will be made public. If you change it after someone votes it could piss people off.
I'd recommend starting a new thread for voting purposes only.
Me or Falastur can also delete the poll and you can start a new one (maybe I haven't tried in the past)

Makes sense. Can we try deleting the poll? We have enough threads on here. If that doesn't work. Maybe lock this thread and we'all start a new one with a new poll. Thanks.

I'm not sure we need to do that. I think we have enough to decide on levels, probably $50 and $20/25. Even if we knew who voted for which level we wouldn't enforce it. No matter what you're going to need to create the leagues, open them up, and then you and I sort it out as best we can hoping people act rationally.

NYCFC_Dan NYCFC_Dan nevermind, our treasurer has spoken.

I'll set up a $50 $25 and free league. And everyone will be free to enter all 3. (Therefore wagering a total of $75, which is a nice compromise).

And as discussed, there won't be promotion for affiliate teams in lower leagues. Relegation will force you out of a league. If you already have a team in the league below, you will only have one team in that lower league the following year.

MLS Fantasy won't allow me to open a league at this moment, but I'll probably form the following when I can (and post the codes here:

Forums H2H - Pigeon ($50)
Forums H2H - Rat ($25)
Forums H2H - Roach (free)

Please, if you do sign up for one of or more of these, be committed and ready to pay our treasurer as well.

Fully committed to $50; however, I have a problem with the league names... Perhaps an hierarchy of NYC landmarks / significant NYC figures / NYCFC referencess, etc. instead of vermin.

I'm open to suggestions. I was even holding back Squirrel for a possible $100 league if there's enough interest.

ESB is just too wordy for my tastes.

What do you have against all our cute city critters? We have to make those dirty water dogs out of something. Do you not like squirrels either? We also have hawks, but they go unnoticed perched up so high.

Did you know the Chrysler was actually built taller? They hid the needle of the ESB till the very end then lifted it out from the center of the building at the very end of construction and toped it off to take the prize as tallest building. Not really important, ESB is actually taller because of it, just a silly fact till there's anything relevant fantasy wise to talk about.
