Parking/ Tailgating So Far

Hey guys! Are we allowed to tailgate and if so are the options discussed in this thread still available?

Thank you!
Bronx Terminal Market Lot is pretty good too. Not the actual parking lot for the mall, but if you go just north of the mall itself, and next to the Metro North Station, there's a nice big lot that not too many people know about. $25 parking, enough space to grill and kick a ball around, and a quick walk to the Bronx River lot if you want to chill with the Supporter Group Tailgate. Not a two second walk, but all you need to do is go right up the stairs for the Metro North walkway and right by the park to get into Yankee Stadium.

Which lot were you referring to? I've been using the 153 Street Garage, but it's too expensive at $35 and they've been putting us on the top level so it takes a few to get out of the garage

So you can tailgate in the 153rd lot but they put you at the top?? Ok good info. Just enough time to sober up at the end.

Not sure who Ali is, but Google Maps refers to it as "Ali's Lot" just north of the Bronx Terminal Market. You can get to it by taking the roadway underneath Maj. Deegan/87 that runs along the BTM, called Exterior Street. Can probably take exit 5 or 6 depending on which direction you're coming from.

Interesting - will have to check that out - is it easy to get on 87-S from there?

You can drink in the GAL Parking lot across from The Bat as well (until we buy the damn place.... pretty pleaseeeeeee!!!). It's the lot I drink in for Yankee games. I know all the cops that work there (they let me park on the street illegally for nothing), but nobody bothers you in that lot at all and its like $5 cheaper than the garages I believe.

The supporters tailgate in the Harlem River Lot. The lot is massive.

Cool - thanks! GAL on 164th? How much is it for the Hudson River Lot?

Great stuff. What's the deal with the Supporters' Tailgate? Is that an every game thing? Do I need to be a member to stop by?
everyone is welcome, they usually drink, eat, pop some smoke bombs and march together to the stadium. i believe the harlem river lot (macombs bridge parking on google maps) is $25 fyi

So basically, it is BYOB, hang out and walk to the game together? Sounds like a fun plan.

Is this Third Rail? or someone else? Or everybody?

Forums tailgate on Sunday? Who's in and where? Harlem river lot sounds promising.

It's basically a big mix. More NYCity SC/Templados than most, but definitely people from all groups. It's kind of like the main group of away supporters. If you want to tailgate it's 1000% the place to be. I enjoy the atmosphere and $4 PBRs at Dugout so I just go there.

I've been thinking about trying out Ali's Lot for one of the next few games. I am just wondering how exactly you get to the game? Does the Metro North Station have stairs that exit where the lot is?

My usual scheme when coming down from the north has been more difficult this year. I would come down the 87, get off at McCombs Dam bridge, and then go into the Ruppert St. Lot (see map below). That's the easiest lot to get to coming south on the 87. The easiest lot to get out of to go back north on the 87 is the 161st St. lot.

Here's the trick. The Ruppert St. Lot and the 161st St. lot across the street actually connect on the lower floor, and I would park in back and just cross over to the other lot and go right to the exit. Easy Peasy. I even had a nice parking attendant I got to know that would open up some cones and let me go right where I wanted. Two issues now. First, he doesn't work there any more, and the new guy is a dick. Second, they are putting up chains and barriers to keep people from crossing over. Why? Who the fuck knows, but it's not easy anymore, so this might be the better option.

There is an overpass walkway that is technically for the Metro North, but can be used by anyone to get over the tracks. There is an opening in the gate that's just a couple of feet from the staircase up the overpass. Taking the incredibly detailed and totally not made in MS Paint map I created below;
upload_2017-5-30_12-2-48.png
Green Box = Parking Lot
Blue/Purple Circle = Gate to exit/enter lot via foot
Black Arrow = direction to go to get to the overpass staircase / elevator
Pink Arrow = When taking I-87 South, get off at Exit 6 "East 153rd Street / River Avenue" and follow the road. Should be the first light where you make a left.
Red Arrow = Upon exiting the lot, make an immediate right, and you will see signs for I-87 N, which will take you to a service road that merges with I-87N.

Due to the multiple levels of roads converging, a 2D map doesn't give the most detailed description of how to get there. When you are approaching the lot, you will pass the supporter's lot on the right. Keep going past a few stop signs, and as I mentioned above, at the first light you will make a left into the lot. Should see a parking dude holding tickets for you to put in your car.

Remember, it is cash only.

Super awesome, thanks. Very helpful. I was having trouble figuring all this out since fucking Google Maps couldn't deal with the various layers in the roads there and kept popping me up on the 87 as I was following Exterior Street (to cite just one annoying example).

Anyway, solid job. You are one step away from superimposing Red Bull Arena on everything.
