Is there any recent substance to the Mix rumors? Saw a couple recent posts on here mentioning him in potential formations. Would love to see him in our colors...haven't personally heard/seen much on it since a couple months ago though.

If the rumours you are talking about are just the posts in this thread then no. People on this forum just really like Mix.

If you've seen something elsewhere then maybe.

Anyone think that Kelechi Iheanacho will be playing for us next season? I've been reading really good things about this young kid. Just turned 18. Last I read he was training with the Crew.

Last we heard apparently hes headed to a belgian club. NYCFC wanted him but the Nigerian FA opposed it

I'm not really sure what the Nigerian FA has to do with it all. I read stories that they were refusing to play him for the national team because he dropped them to go to MCFC's US camp, which could affect his UK work permit down the line, but I don't think they can do much to stop him from going to NYCFC if he and MCFC want him to.

I figured it was of a best interest kind of thing. Maybe they didn't think highly enough of MLS and in good faith requested City send him somewhere else

They're as reliable as the Nigerian FA, in all fairness.

And Falastur Falastur - why the hell wouldn't we like Mix? You've seen him, right? He's dreamy as fuck.

He's also quality and a good value for what he brings. We have to have someone to get through some work rate out there, and he's got skill in the final third to go with hustle.

And he manages to be the sort of guy that you'd like to hang out with or have date your sister. He's ready made to be a star.

Whatever. My love for him is well-known. I even have my US shirt with "MIX" on the back in the hopes that one day USSF will get it together and let him wear it.

yeah no truth really to diskerud rumors. I just really like the dude. As do many of the people here.

Part of me is really sad Jozy never latched on in the premier league. I think if he signed with a team that wasn't horrendous going forward he might have been a solid player in the league. If the plan is to sign another DP forward, then I would much rather it be him.

I never said that a man-crush on Mix was a bad thing. I was simply commenting that his name is likely to be dragged back into discussions here regardless of whether there are actual rumours or not.

Random thing I saw on reddit.

Sounds to me like a poorly-worded way of basically saying that he wants to keep playing in the Premier League until he no longer feels up to it.

not sure if this has been posted yet but I don't agree with this NY daily news story
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/soccer/everton-gareth-barry-kicks-fuss-mls-diss-article-1.1978713

Seems to me like some of the coaches may have "dissed" MLS by spouting the same old retirement league line. Barry makes it clear that he didn't agree with that and to me it sounds like he's even sympathetic to the league when he says, "would have been going to a league that is up and coming and not as big as the Premier League." Ultimately its understandable that he wouldn't want to leave Everton after last year, with high expectations and the Europa League coming this year.

Of course, an article titled "Unnamed Everton Coach(es) MLS Diss. Gareth Barry Disagrees but Agrees to Stay at Premier League Side After a Successful Campaign." probably wouldn't get as much attention.

So long as you know. We have to keep the dream alive.

Unfortunately, after the last 2 USMNT matches, he's going to be a tougher sign. Now the other big teams' supporters are clamoring for him, just like us.

Agudelo's trial with Wolverhampton just finished, and he was not given a permanent contract. So not even Championship teams want him. Seems his return to MLS is inevitable at this point.

Last article that I read had Iheanacho being loaned out by MCFC in January. Also read that he was training with the Crew as a favor to Coach Kreis. So he could possibly wind up at NYCFC since a January loan would be perfect timing and the idea of training him as a favor to Kreis, sounds promising.

Revs still hold his MLS rights.
