This thread is so quiet. No posts for 3 days between Friday and today. I figured with a new coach -- wherever he is -- we would have 47 proposed lineups posted every day because anything is possible.
We are expecting more of the same right? Can’t imagine Torrent will have enough time to really implement any changes. I know they said he has been watching trainings via video, but he’s only going to get 3-4 trainings in person before the game.

So I feel like we will have the same questions that we have been having for the past few games.

Chanot or Ibeagha?
What’s the front 3 combination?
Does Medina get back in the starting XI?
Does Berget keep his spot?

Maybe he just decides to keep it simple and pick the exact same lineup as the Atlanta game.

Toronto will still be without Altidore, Moor and Mavinga, but have a couple of CBs healthy again in Hagglund and Zavaleta. And they still have Vazquez and Giovinco.

Put Ring on Vazquez, and have the CBs push around Giovinco, piss him off, and put him off his game.

I think you're right in the main part. Not enough time for Torrent to be massively different. Even some changes we see might not be much different from what PV would have done.

We might see more Lewis but we were just starting to see more Lewis under PV. Chanot might come back but that could just be that he's over whatever personal issues he had. After that, like you said, it's mostly which attackers see the field. Medina?, Berget?, and if TAS doesn't start let's riot.

I watched the first half of the Toronto DCU game and it was shocking to see how easily DCU was able to find space between the back line and midfield and how often they were splitting the center backs. Gio and Vazquez are still great players but they are both playing slower than last year. Bradley is giving the ball away in terrible spots all year. I am nervous about the coaching change but match up very well against this injured Toronto team.

Considering Dome isn't hung up on a specific style and he's been watching film too, maybe he actually exploits that. Even picks a lineup of players best suited to exploit that. Now wouldn't that be a breath of fresh air?

New York City v Toronto FC
Yankee Stadium (5PM ET)
REF: ISMAIL ELFATH
AR1: KATHRYN NESBITT
AR2: NICK URANGA
4TH: SORIN STOICA
VAR: JORGE GONZALEZ

Elfath recently called our 3-1 win vs. FC Dallas which resulted in 5 yellow cards (3-NYC, 2-DAL), 1 penalty called for NYCFC after video review. Elfath also referred our 2-1 win vs. LA Galaxy this season which resulted in 3 yellow cards all for LAG, including a double yellow to Ashley Cole. Going back just a bit further, he was the 4th official for the first leg of NYCFC-Columbus picking up after Alan Kelly left the match due to illness.

interesting that my company sent out email to everyone for tickets to this game "tickets as low as $30" .....are they really not expecting to fill up because of the world cup?

They're probably not expecting to fill up because there's no reason to think that.
