Adam Nemec on the operation of the American MLS: "I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the competition"
March 25, 2015

...Since January operates in the US Major League Soccer. "I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the competition, did not confirm rumors of a weaker level of that League. Playing here a lot of skilful footballers, and in the future will be to move forward. It is played offensively, a tactic, rather it is a football up and down. The audience is certainly an interesting contest." said at the meeting in Senci with New York City FC forward.

The transfer from Union Berlin surprised many, and the 14-time Slovak representative so far praises action and atmosphere in the stadiums in MLS. "It's a show, American viewers are going to seize the stadiums, so it was even a meeting in our home. The match we enjoyed, it was fine." The club started off in the attacking tandem with the Spanish champion of the 2010 World Cup David Villa. Managed in a short time to make friends? "I do not know if we're friends, but certainly we are teammates and over time are perhaps closer together," said Adam Nemec at the mention of the teammate.

At the national teams meeting measured the longest trip. "The journey was good, I feel relatively well. Time zone so far not made any problems, I believe that this remains the case," commenting on the trip across the Atlantic before spring qualifying match against Luxembourg. In this opponent is a robust attacker to mention the best. After the national debut in 2006, Adam Nemec waited more than four years for the next start, he met him in February 2014 in Luxembourg. In the hardened ground and dense fog above the playing surface at the Stade Josy Barthela succumbed to our representation Luxembourgers 1:2.
"In this duel prefer not to mention, we must not underestimate anything. Often, it is confirmed that the outsider can steal favorite's points and this we really do not want. We have a few days to have a well-prepared and on Friday run out for three points," Adam Nemec said firmly. His goal in Skopje contributed to the Slovakia win in meeting with Macedonia, adding an additional to net over Luxembourg? "Every goal delights me, but the most important thing is winning."

Before matches next to each other with Luxembourg and the Czech Republic, 29-year-old native of Banskej Bystrice was calmly and clearly satisfied after solving last year's transfer market issues. "Currently I have the joy of football, I believe it will last as long as possible and that this will help the game and the results of the national team," Adam Nemec concluded.

I'm in the "give Nemec more time" minority here. Everyone else thinks he's the worst player ever.
Not ever, but so far he's been just about the worst player, for either team, in all three of our games so far.

The Nemec haters are more likely the vocal minority. It's sad how after only 3 games (even after the first game) people have been so quick to write off a player who has never played in the league before... and on a new team still trying to figure themselves out no less.

He's one of our boys, I root for him. Seems like a good dude too, and by his interactions with the team, seems like the guys love him. Hopefully, it will start clicking for him on the field.

I think it works both ways too. Some of the posters are still trying to figure football out.

I'd say that's a fair assessment. There were PLENTY of people starting to boo in the 17th minute last night because the ball was being played back to JOE Saunders. The reality is he was missed last night because Mullins is not a target man.

He was the most unsociable and rude person when I met the team. Small sample size, but everybody else was great!
