Santi as the striker. Ojeda and Fernandez as the wingers. Wolf as the 10. Sands-Perea defensive mids.
O'Toole, Risa, Martins, and either Strahinja or Jasson as RB.
We still have a good team even with these missing players.
It's also the right move at that point in the game down a man. I had an issue with doing it so early against Portland, but when you'[re down a man entering extra time, it's the right move.
I've noticed two things from these scab refs:
1. They don't really want to do anything that will impact the game. Penalties, red cards, offside decisions seem to be going to VAR way more often than normal. They're making the safe call, then allowing VAR to correct them.
2. It seems like MLS...
The team may accept being 6th-8th in the conference, but they won't accept being out of the playoffs. If we're 1-5-0 coming into that homestand and we don't pick up wins, he's in trouble.
Not-so-great results is one thing, but I don't think they're going to accept awful results. This team is...
Crowd sounded really loud tonight on TV. Great atmosphere for a game in March.
The best-case scenario for us is a turnaround, even with Cushing at the helm. So I'm very glad he got the result tonight. We need a result in these next two road games before the homestand starts.
When Santi is on...
I think the original plan was to evaluate Cushing after the 5-game homestand ends on May 5.
But if we lose today -- then lose to Cincy and Miami -- this is going to quickly become untenable. Ultimately, this is a results business and Nick needs to start delivering results.
The official lots are $47. Plenty of parking, just obnoxiously expensive. I like the Ruppert garage, which dumps you right back onto the Deegan. (If you're going north, make sure you exit in the basement. If you're going south, exit at the level you enter)
According to Transfermarkt, the new defender we signed who's name I'm not even going to try to type can play at RB. So maybe he's the answer, or they'll go with Jasson.
But if they did that, MLS wouldn't appear to be at the level of Liga MX. The non-money making part of this tournament is making it look like MLS is improving and at Liga MX's level.
Kind of makes Leagues Cup being in US/Canada exclusively even more of a sham. In the real tournament where Mexican teams don't have one hand tied behind their backs, they clean our clocks. MLS isn't really that close.
I am on a partial plan, I was told I can't exchange the Home Opener or the Miami game. The Miami game also isn't on sale yet, so that might have something to do with it.
I hope they bring in an established professional coach. I even wouldn't be opposed to a coach with MLS experience; I kind of wish they'd have looked at Caleb Porter when he was available this offseason.
I know Mehdi's been on our coaching staff for a while, but I want a guy with experience as...
