Just confirmed that the "hide sports scores" option is also available in the AppleTV+ app on my Samsung smart TV.

On my iPad I had to go to the Settings app, scroll down on the left side to the TV app settings, then toggle the Show Sports Scores switch on and then off again. I haven’t checked the AppleTV+ app on my smart TV yet.
