    2020 Roster Discussion

more minutes? For the record, I favor giving the wee man a go, he seems like he has a point to prove and at least gets stuck in. For some reason he's recently displayed an alarming ability to fail to put one foot in front of the other when in a position to shoot, but that's not out of character...

Yeah, I’ve defended him in that position in the past, but last night Ring was shocking as a left winger. Was rarely an outlet, often in the wrong position, and his passing wasn’t good enough. Good to see ma boy GMS have a good game, got stuck in well, played some good passes, some nice...

    2020 Roster Discussion

Seems like a straightforward question of quality, to me. With all due respect to the USL teams/players, you expect the standard at a lower level to just be below that of the teams in higher leagues. So, it's possible that Haak at 18, already possesses more quality (and has trained and been...

Couldn't agree more with this - see when he played on the left in one of the Florida games and did well, also "scored" in the last game from the left hand side. He does have skill and it's such a part of the modern game to have people cutting inside to shoot, but even when he was at Dundee...

NYCFC Tier List - Defenders & Goalies

Heresy. And, what, no room for Stoove, or Ryan Meara?

Watched that game from a pub in Woodstock and from what I could tell we hosed them, absolutely bossed them from start to finish, but same as the last few months, when we get into the final third, just nothing happens. Seemed like we got screwed on a penalty and GMS late shot that seemed like a...

and I'm not Glaswegian, but [redacted language taking a big dump on Glaswegians as stabby NEDs]. I've been a critic of Gaz when merited, no doubt he needs to do better, but he said himself in interviews that last season he came into the team having already played a full season and that he needs...

Away - September 2 - New England (Postgame)

I feel like I can see the argument for putting him there - he has, at times, some decent poise and ability to be the pivot in a passing movement with one or two nice touches. He did drop back often enough to be useful deeper on the pitch and popped up in some decent places in the final third...

RUMOR: Messi/Pep to MCFC and NYCFC

Thought that report might have some legitimacy coming from the BBC, but it turns out they're just reporting a rumour from the Daily Record. :tearsofjoy: as you were...

omfg you mentioned the thing I love and miss the most....... :coldsweat: (ETA: uh, aside from my family, obviously......) Also, good thing you saw that dolphin in Aberdeen because if it had been a Glasgow dolphin it would have tried to stab you. And.... to stay kind of on topic - we assume...

Totally forgot this game was even going on and just got finished watching the replay. Good hustle and teamwork and communication in a lot of areas in the first 20 minutes or so - tailed off a little, but we still kept some good energy up and passing throughout the game. Quit pissing yourselves...

    NYCFC Players Wanted Thread

Jefferson Mena flashbacks too  the player that was so shitty, Vieira subbed him 23 minutes into a game (which I think was his last game for us, unless he got thrown into a later game as an emergency sub)

Thought Ring's celebration was a bit odd..... As for "say it to my face"..... What? How? We're all stuck at home, not supposed to be making unnecessary contact with other people and prevented from going to the games....

This was one of those games you watch through your fingers and then breathe a huge sigh of relief when we finally come away with it. Lots of pretty sloppy and poor performances. Looks like we've really locked on to an early Dome tactic of "pass it about the back for a long time, then try to...

these were a couple of things that stood out to me too. Nani getting the freedom of Mata's area of the pitch so often was remarkable. He's gonna want to play Mata every week. and yes, stupid Taty needs to wise the f up and stop flopping around like he got shot any time someone's hand happens to...

I use Airplay on the Mac to broadcast the twitter to my TV which works out fine. Best thing about those twitter games is the overly exuberant Spanish commentators trying to outdo one another . I remember one game from a couple years back where the young guy was giving it his all in the first...
