Saw that happening preseason (I should update that). Good news is, we didn start 10 international players because of green cards. (Should update that too).

I was surprised that MLS Instagram also posted it. Would think they wouldn't really want to advertise the lack of domestic talent

I really don't see it as being a bad thing - Viera only uses players if they did well in training, not based on where they're from

The only downside is when your entire starting XI gets called up by their national teams while MLS fails to respect the international break.

I think it's necessary for now. This team has a very specific circumstance and having a roster like this reflects the uniqueness of NYC. The hope is that in time, our academy will produce talent that is from NYC but still has varied lineage.

i dont mind it at all.....people say teams should reflect the community they represent...this right here is reflective of city itself.

the only issue is the NT call ups can fuck us over

EDIT: oh and as for domestic talent...i do think the academy can give us a few players in next few years. so not worried about that.
