I almost wish these things were quiet so the club could just announce acquisitions.
It's called not going on to the internet. Stay away from it, and you'll only find out about the acquisitions after they take place.

I didn't really like Skyscrapers Blue Draft preview. Anything not in the first round doesn't really matter IMHO. If you want to criticize the players that Kreis picked up that is one thing, but lets not pretend that these late round draft picks are going to produce players that contribute on the MLS level.

I've predicted the full season schedule to be released on January 6th. Recently, MLS has released the schedule on the first Wednesday of the year.

I got the Vieira prediction right, though Sir Alex and Alexi was included in that prediction, so let's see if I can go 2/2.

You might want to reread the mlssoccer.com article on the season opener schedule -- second paragraph, specifically. Just trying to help keep your prediction percentages up.

Well without having read this article, I was pretty close. Damn. A Thursday? Why a Thursday? Because LAFC is unveiling their crest the same day. MLS really wants news breaking on the same day. Interesting Garbs.

I just want some team news to talk about. I'd prefer it be happy but the only things going are the Ethan White trade and the first two games. We still have: Preseason, Regular Season, Secondary Jersey, MLS SuperDraft, up to 8 more player signing, and hopefully some stadium news left to hear before we start the 2016 campaign.

I for one am totally looking forward to Grabavoy's triumphant return to Yankee Stadium as a visiting player. Complete bonus points if Kreis is his coach.

And in a perfect world Pirlo will float a gorgeous extra time free kick towards goal which will bounce off Grabavoy's back and go in for an own goal to break the tie.

Ned was a player who tried hard for NYCFC. He did nothing wrong. These ill wishes are misplaced - I don't need to say from whom.

When a player tries hard for the club and then moves on in his career, I wish him well. I wish that for Ned, Jeb, Kwame, Angelino, Shay, etc.

When he returns I will applaud him as I would any other returning NYCFC player. And if we want to be a class fanbase I hope others will do the same. He wasn't an asshole to us. We shouldn't be so to him.

Well, it's not so much ill wishes as "just" a joke on a forum during the long, long winter before the new season starts, which is what this thread is for. In reality I'm somewhat neutral on Kreis and Grabavoy although surely neither did as well as they might have for us. So no ill wishes, at least not from me, for either of them.

Except when they play us, of course.

Damn, you made me feel bad about my Grabavoy hate. Impressive

Sorry to play the conscience card. :)

As for JK, I do think his case is different than Ned's. While I think he had the best intentions and worked hard for NYCFC, he also regularly threw players under the bus (what JK supporters would describe as appropriately calling out). I think it was poor leadership. He regularly deflected blame away from himself. I don't like that.

But I also wouldn't boo him when he comes back unless he says other inflammatory stuff between now and then. He was NYCFC. He tried for us. I won't cheer him, as I thought he was an ass to the team. But I won't boo him.

That's my moral compass. Everyone else's may be different.
