sooo any speculation if well be in manchester for a couple of games like last year? i assume so no? especially since PV will want to integrate any of the loans ASAP.
i wonder if nycfc will be part of the charleston cup again....or any of those quirky pre season cups. i feel it should of been announced by now.

Its almost certain that the team will be somewhere in Manchester for at least part of next year. Its simply easier to find soccer teams of any desired caliber in England than it is here in the states. CFG is going to want to blood the team properly so everyone is comfortable.
I would expect that we play against someone in the Scottish premier league again, or maybe someone in league 1. Probably cap it off against some relegation bait in the championship.
That would be pretty European focused though. My marketing hat says that playing in one of those quirky US cups might net us a fan or two. So it might be worth it to play in a cup match in the states.
If they do go to and from England like I expect, then the team will probably come back to the states with at least 3 weeks to spare before the start of the season.

Aye NYCFC is going to be a much stronger team going into this season, and a fair bit of that strength is simply going to come from having played together for more than a single match. NYCFC might be too strong to throw against the Scottish Premier league. Unless we're going to be playing celtic or the rangers.
We played our first match against the Jacksonville Armada on the 1st of February. Played against St. Mirren on the 10th.
The preseason for 2016 starts on January 22nd.

Rangers haven't been in the SPL for 4 years. There are 3 or 4 other decent teams besides Celtic.
It's crazy to think we'll know the regular season schedule before the preseason schedule. Unless during the regular season schedule release includes the preseason schedule.
Some guys never learn. I've emailed and tweeted the team to see when they're going to release a preseason schedule. You'd think by now I'd realize social media is a means of merchandising and not for much more.

Club didn't announce a final preseason schedule until 1/13 last year. Only a handful of MLS clubs have annouced any preseason dates.
IIRC they club announced by like mid december they will take part in the carolina challenge cup or whatever the Charleston battery preseason tournament is called.
i just want the team to get as many games as possible to get used to PV tactics and methods. we dont want him experimenting first couple of months of the season.
