And Lamps nursed his calf injury by taking a dip..........

Jeez, I've jumped on and off the Lampard bandwagon so many times, I'm surprised I haven't broken an ankle yet.

Again ....he has to play and start a lot or at least be really impactful sub he was last year. He wasn't featured as much in preseason but I'm sure that will change

And for the rumors those are rumors as I don't think an actual offer was officially made. And it has to be a good offer or else CFG won't want to take it unless MLS forces them to

Who said anything about rumors?

They stayed at the Ritz Carlton.

I love that hotel by the way. I've stayed there 4 times with the family. First time was right when the Great Recession hit, and you could get rooms for a song. Since then, we've used miles and other discount tricks to make it work. I've got pictures of the kid in my avatar swimming in the same pool Frank is in above when my kid was barely 2. Lots of great memories there, which is why I love seeing pics of the team there too.

because all it is rumors even if ian joy says offers came in....to me its all rumors until either the club says they did not accept them or a transfer happens.....we dont know what happens behind closed doors.

Not true.

you can believe what you want to believe then....i do think there is interest but i dont think a concrete offer came thru.

It's not a matter of believing. There were multiple offers for him. Two were from the Bundesliga. They caught the team by surprise.

I think the point Fantazma Fantazma is trying to make, is there has not been any reports at all of actual, real offers coming in. A quick search on my end found this EoS article that mentioned 2 Bundesliga teams reached out to Poku over a move, but nothing about an actual offer coming in.

"As the season progressed, Bundesliga clubs in both the first and second division began actively reaching out to the former Atlanta Silverbacks midfielder over a move as well."

Nothing about that above says an offer was made. That could be as simple as gauging interest and sending scouts to watch.

it is .....was just too lazy to look back at the article. since all i remember was the interest not offer coming in. again that can all change this year depending on his performances.

Anyone know what time today the final rosters have to be set? TIA ;)

Was just going to ask this. I assume we should see some serious news today about INT slots / trialists signed. Unfortunately I don't expect any of that to be striker depth.

Waiting for: "The NYCFC family would like to extend its congratulations to Ronald Matarrita and his new bride [insert name of woman of United States citizenry here] on their recent nuptials. Ronald and his new bride were married this afternoon at 4:59 p.m. at 600 Third Avenue."

Looks like MLS updated the Roster page about an hour and a half ago, but still no mention of a deadline (unless I missed it somewhere).

I guess they want to give L.A. all the time they need to sort things out.

I know, I know. But sometimes picking at the low hanging fruit is all there is.......

Either that or: Don Garber has looked at the rules that were made *cough*cough* last year, found a new clause, and will now include 2-3 more international spots per team, and it definitely has nothing to do with the amount of spots the LA Galaxy need. We promise!
