2017 Forbes Most Valuable Football/Soccer Clubs

One Serie A team in top 10... depressing.
the serie a's market cant compare to the likes of the premier league anymore.

the biggest markets in italy- juve, inter, milan, and roma aren't what they used to be. not that roma was ever huge but they've been relevant more often than not.

inter and milan have been terrible for almost a decade now. no champions league, less money. instead you have napoli as the #3 team, and then theres the small team that finds a way through- atalanta.... udinese... teams that once they make it they'll sell their whole team and embarrass serie a.

premier league is miles ahead in marketing and making teams function. you now see leicester city on this list, probably for the first time ever.

Agreed on all points. Plus Italian football has been marred by scandal on a near regular basis which depletes credibility and money. I was too young to experience and appreciate the most recent golden years of Serie A. I just hope I get another chance.

Also, their league and playing style is boring.

Due to the Fianancial fair Play Rules, Milan and Inter could no longer afford to run up losses of nearly 100 million a year, so they had to cut back and hence why they struggle.

As an inter fan im resigned to the fact they will probably never reach that 2010 era level again. They are now at the same level as the rest of serie a.

Juventus are the only team in Italy that had the financial might to get on top of things, hence why they have won 6 titles in a row. The problem is, it makes Serie A boring as watching paint dry.

Couple that with outdated stadiums, (how long has it taken for Roma to get an approval for its stadium ), poor crowds, Italian bureaucracy and a not so enticing product to many(although tactically brilliant) Serie A's decline doesn't look like turning around in a hurry.

Skip to 1:11 in and then watch the whole thing if you've never seen it.

Amazing announcer and you can never go wrong with some Obafemi Martins.

Inter Milan down 2-0 in the 87'

I was looking for any reason to post this and @MidasMulligan opened the door. :)

inters a mess in itself. even without FFP their whole structure has been fucked. even now that they pretty much comply with FFP, youre going to see the same shit happen over and over again.
i dont want to go into it. talking about inter is too stressful

and serie a had the most goals scored this season across all the top tier leagues if im not mistaken
