Just as the new secondary kit came out, NYCFC now wants the help of fans in designing the neckline for the new 2017 primary kit. This will appear on the outside of the jersey. Cityzens can now vote for their pick. If you're a Cityzen or otherwise, vote in the poll above. Here are the nominees.

Caught something in the rules that is keeping me from entering. "3 finalists will have their designs up on the City Portal along with 2 of NYCFC's own designs." Yeah we know how that's gonna go.

If a fan design is picked, does that fan have to sign a waiver to give up copyright / intellectual trademark rights to the design (so they don't come back and ask for royalties)? i'm not sure if NYCFC would compensate a fan like that.

and if the "voters" select an NYCFC design, they'd be in the clear?

Yup you give up your design and NYCFC becomes owner of the design. As a prize you get the 2017 home jersey. But I'm sure one of NYCFC's own design is gonna win just how the whole logo fiasco happened.

There are no royalties for this kind of work. It would be work-for-hire and even a professional designer would get only a flat fee.

Lion might be confused because A and D are in different orders. Both are alphabetical based on the letters they use. BK before BX, but Bronx before Brooklyn.

I would agree that Brooklyn should always be first.... damn the alphabet and it's arbitrary ordering.....
