We're heard the reports that the 2017 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target will be held in Chicago at Solider Field on August 2, 2017...

The thought was that the opponent would be Barcelona. But it looks like it will be Real Madrid.

MID: Moralez, Harrison, Ring
FWD: Villa, Wallace

It's a maximum of 8 players nominated from each team but I think that Chanot was snubbed and should replace Callens.

Ring and Chanot are having better seasons at their position than Villa. Both would start if this were about merit.

The kid in Chicago deserves to start at CF. he's been the best Forward in the league this year.

Nikolic has been one of the best signings this season and probably the most underrated player at the moment.

It will be interesting to see if any of our less heralded guys get called up as reserves. Cases can be made for Ring and Herrera at CDM, Chanot, Johnson and Harrison.

Might be worth a guessing game here on the boards. Name one guy who isn't voted in and gets called up anyway.

Remember when Pirlo and Villa were selected to the ASG in San Jose last year. They brought all their luggage to the stadium, played for 30 minutes, then flew private to our next match. It's going to be the same thing for this game. And the jet doesn't count against the charter plane numbers.
