Conference final - but I'm just splitting the difference. I actually think we go to final or lose in our first round matchup.

Either 2nd round or final. If we win 2, we will go to final.

Who will be the surprise standout performer? Herrera will boss some matches for us when he gets time, but I also think Camargo ends up becoming our best LW attacker.

Random: Won't be shocked if we begin the Wallace at left back transition at some point. If we're middling results wise around the summer transfer window, this is especially true. Not clearly in the shield race, Ronnie gets sold so we can further upgrade.

Will there be a Dp level signing? Have to think yes here. Looking at other big clubs rosters, it just feels like we will be able to move Maxi off DP status or have a rollover DP to-be come in this summer. As a matter of fact, I'll keep my shirt blank for it. Despite my bitching in the interim, the club has this far proven they will drop some coin, even if it's not on our timeline.

Gahhh. Don't we all know it. For the minutes played category, he'd be a shoo-in top 3 guy if it weren't for that. As it is, he's got a bit of that Marco Reus thing.

Not accusing Ronnie of anything when I say all of this, but I often wonder how much of these sort of things are genetic predisposition and how much is tolerance level (which might also be genetic/biologically determined to some degree). I mean, you have guys like Jordan Henderson who played almost an entire season last year barely being able to walk between matches. Then you have other guys (looking at you, Sturridge) who can't ever seem to stay healthy two weeks in a row.

Tons of other factors I could point out for consideration, but I think it makes my point. I certainly wouldn't put Ron in the Reus/Sturridge category based on one year, but he really does need to stay on the pitch more this year. Are they just Ferrari's - absolutely amazing when they're running, but super-expensive to own and maintain and always prone to breakdowns with anything close to daily driving?

Beyond this, I could not agree more with this take. I am very curious to see how Ronald will hold up this year. I wonder if the addition of Wallace and/or Sweat is partially insurance for Mata leaving and partially to give him a rest AND maybe to push him.

Oh, I said the night we signed Wallace that Ronnie better tighten his jock or he'd be benched. Time to step up for him. He's plenty capable, but as of yet, I have not seen the effort he gives for CR on display every single time he suits up for NYC. The best professionals almost always seem to have that desire regardless of what shirt they wear.

Double incentive for him really, since Wallace could keep him out both here and with CR.
