Thread is warranted now that we have some preseason news. We are taking part in the Dessert Diamond Cup preseason tournament.
I think it might be a Twitter issue as they're being DDOS'ed right now so I'm going to refrain from attaching the tweet.

Interesting stuff. I will actually be out in Arizona that week on family vacation. Hopefully, they will schedule something between those two Saturday games as we won't be around on those nights.

Preseason is late January - early February so while it might not be cold in Arizona that time of the years it's certainly not hot. Perfect place for a preseason tournament. We played Florida this year.

Would be nice not to have to pay for a crappy feed. Would be nicer to have them also broadcast on YES. Or even better NYCFCTV! (Or CITYTV?). I mean if they can have TrumpTV what's stopping us?

Thank you for straighten me out on the whether good to know they won't be playing in heat. I thought this was apart of the season. So I will ask now that the team is in the play offs do you feel this tournament will add to the Teams level of energy in the regular season? Is this something you thought of or concern about? How much of a break will they have?

This is in January/February. Regular season doesn't start till early March. There will be at least a 1-2 week break between their last preseason game and their first regular season game. I'd say just about every professional team in the world (not just MLS) plays preseason games (usually in some form of tournament) so this is the norm. We played it this season and we played friendlies prior to our inaugural season.

MLS Preseason officially begins on January 23rd. The first Sunday of the 2017 season is likely March 6th. That's 10 weeks with a week off before the first regular season game.

We're already committed to going to Arizona for February 18th and 25th for two games.

Can we really hit up three continents for preseason in 10 weeks?
