2017 Schedule Thread

Is this accurate? For home opener. Obviously they wont release 3/400s unless they need to but according to this there's really not much left. Any chance there's some funny business going on and they just haven't released all the 1/200s?

How many season ticket holders do we have? That could be a reason

They frequently don't release all the tickets until a week or two before the match. I think this is due to things like groups sales, etc.

Here's how you can tell. There are 3-4 sections around the stadium that are completely withheld from season ticket sales. I think that 208 is one of these (it was last year). Until you see those sections fully represented, they haven't released all the seats.

Well shit, just bought 3 in 216, row 4. Hopefully they aren't terrible. Only $30 each.

I'm too lazy to go check it again, but the other day I did a quick comparison of the VV for new season tickets purchases, and saw that the seats available for ST's are not yet available for single game purchases. They probably have ~1500 seats held for ST's.

So annoying. I'd rather them be available and then get a call saying they've been taken by a sth and relocate. Gotta plan in advance this time bc I'm taking 2 work buddies.

How do you guys ( others ) feel about so many early Saturday matches ? I moved to FL and gave up my seats so no big deal here but a few people I know are considering dropping their tickets because of this. They own and operate businesses that require them to be there on Saturdays so attending won't be the easiest. And in todays world its common for people to work 6 day work weeks or weekends only etc. Was just wondering if it has been spoken about by others who share the inconvenience. Are these early kick offs to accommodate the Euro tv market ?

Our Saturday afternoon games almost always come at the tail end of a Yankee road trip with a Yankee home game Tuesday night. Our game needs to be in the afternoon to turn the field over in time for baseball. There's no way around it. And no matter when they schedule the games day or night it will be inconvenient for someone.

Hate it.

Admittedly my work schedule is unusual (weekday evenings, Saturday morning/afternoons and Sunday mornings) but it forces me to miss a lot of games or a lot of work. I will probably miss the games.

I also a) enjoy drinking at games b) don't prticulrily enjoy/can't afford day-drinking so something is going to have to give there as well.

mgarbowski mgarbowski is surely right about the scheduling w/r/t getting the field ready for baseball games but while "anytime is inconvenient for someone" is obviously literally true I think it is fair to say that Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons would be better for most people.

ETA: This also means fewer of the awesome "blackout" goal celebrations.

I always prefer night games.
