Even if Seattle gets Honda? And who wins the USOC? Looks like we can make CCL that way, if they don't change the qualification for the next couple of years to line things up.
That way wouldn't guarantee that we would make CCL. Remember if Toronto finishes ahead of us, that spot goes to the next team that hasn't qualified with the most points. So in the case that LAG finishes ahead of us in points, and neither them, Seattle, or Dallas wins USOC, then we won't get in.

Correct. I didn't think it would guarantee. But if we were 2nd in the East, we'd probably have a better record than LA and maybe even Seattle in that situation. I'm thinking that the West will beat each other up more than the East, so the top of the East may have higher points totals. Watch mgarbowski mgarbowski completely bash that theory with some actual stats and facts.

We'll probably start too slow to win the shield. But I look for us, Atlanta, and whoever signs the best summer DP to be the hot teams entering the postseason (hopefully us). I don't think Atlanta will have the defense to contend for trophies, but they could be like us in 2016. Then again, they're adding Guzan this summer.

I don't see NYCFC challenging for the shield, they will most likely start off slow as the pieces come together. (It sucks because 3 out of first four games are at home). Focus on peaking into playoff (maybe with new summer DP) and get at least a 3 seed.

Dallas won't win the shield either because they will be focused on CCL until May - yup they are going to the final - but I'd bet on them to win the cup once Diaz comes back. They will get a solid seed and look to win the cup.

Toronto is basically bringing everyone back so they have to be considered a favorite for the shield. I think RBNY will fall back unless Klejstan and BWP have another record year. Also think they are underestimating the loss of Dax.

What about Seattle? Not only did they go on a run last season to win the cup once they acquired Lodiero. But they get Duece back, who was MIA for that run with a broken heart. And now probably Honda is coming on board. Add in the fact that Roldan and Morris have had time to mature and adjust to the MLS and yet no one seems to mention them as Shield favorites.

I think we win 20 games this season! I'm going bold
Wrong thread... but...

we're going to arguably have the best ever MLS regular season and tie for the most wins ever? Not seeing it. We're good, but Dallas and Toronto have better rosters. Atlanta has a better starting XI.

Won 14 last year and I think our roster has more quality now but I wouldn't think it would be out of the question to surpass last years results
