2018 MLS All-Star Game Presented by Target (vs. Juventus) (Atlanta, Aug 1)

Where would you see him fitting in? I’m not sure he suits a top-tier team, as opponents will sit deep, which sort of voids his pace.

He probably would be great at a team like Newcastle or Burnley. I don’t know enough about the mid table teams in other leagues to name a fit.

I was thinking that too and most teams would take away what he does best...pace and dribble at opponents. He would be much less effective playing in the middle in Europe as he is in MLS. I'd like to see him as a true winger on a mid-table team with a good #10.

DCU’s Chris Durkin pulled out of the homegrown game, citing that he was tired. He kept training with DCU. Today he was on the bench and came into the game.

Why was he not suspended - given that he was selected and CHOSE not to play in the Homegrown game?

MLS hypocrisy.

Let’s not criticize the part they are getting right.

It’s a little different for a guy like him who has secured a starting role for his club. I’d be pissed if Sands were a lock starter for us and MLS forced him to play in a worthless exhibition against a youth squad.
