Please buy tickets to the knockout game that you don’t need at a discount, that you’ll be forced to put on the secondary market where someone that wants to go and might pay our full price will purchase them at your discounted cost. Oh yeah that makes plenty of sense.

The form actually said if you want to opt out of some of your tickets but not all to indicate that in the comments. I guess that was a mistake.
I opted out of the whole strip. I can't make a Halloween game and I am confident enough I can get what I want in the secondary market for any other games.

It was worded less than clearly, but I think you could opt out of some number of your tickets (eg drop 4 tickets to 2) but for however many tickets you opted for, you had to buy the entire strip.
The initial email said it was auto-enroll unless you opt-out. I opted out. Yesterday I got an email saying "I see you have yet to opt-in...let's touch base.....". I'm wondering if the opt out rate was so bad that they are coming back to people who intentionally opted out.
Auto-enroll unless you opt out, HOWEVER if you already cancelled your season tickets you have to opt-in or you will be opted out.
I dropped 1 of 3 seats for the playoffs. I'd wager half of the STH's dropped at least one seat, or more due to the potential for a Halloween match, all or nothing series tix, and the inflation of the price each round. Unless they have a massive sale of tix the days before the match, I fully expect the attendance to suffer and be noticeably small for a meaningful match.
Got an email from the ticket office, they are letting us buy additional knockout tickets at a discount starting today...
