2018 Season Ticket Thread

I feel like if they have been sold, but not yet accepted, you should get paid.

Put the onus on the person who bought it to go in and accept. Because ultimately you're now losing the opportunity to sell them if they don't accept it.
I absolutely agree.

Just got accepted. BTW, if you use gmail with their auto-sort thing, stubhub goes to updates. Since I have notifications off for that box, I didn't see that until 12 hours after sale.

Understanding I'm making assumptions, I'll say that it appears that the only way you can confirm the transaction is to go through the desktop stubhub site and enter the email. I presume at that point, stubhub pings the buyer. Going the other route does make your tickets available to the buyer, but it probably doesn't look at all related to what they would expect since it's from some random Ticketmaster/NYCFC address.

I am guessing this means you're screwed on day of if you're out and about.

Gave away my Orlando tiks to a friend rather than sell at a loss. Had them listed for 2 weeks at a break even price (with my founders discount) and they didn’t move. I have pretty good seats. Something is very wrong with this system.

Seriously considering switching to SS seats next season to keep my place in line. They seem to sell for at least face. And then I can always purchase my old seats or close by for less than face when I want.

I intend to downgrade 4 of my 6 this year but had the chance to get 1st row in 227b, thinking that they would be easier to sell.

They’re not.

I have been paid for 2 Stubhub sales so far, though.

So I sold my seats today, did the transfer through account manager and finished it with stub hub. The buyer then declined the transfer of the tickets. Now what?

Email your rep immediately. This is ridiculous. You've just lost all the time from when they were "sold" to when they were declined which those tickets could have been listed.

I think several of you know I'm not one to get easily perturbed by things, but this shit is fucking ridiculous and the club needs to fix it.

I would hope SH still charges his card. As you’ve lived up to your end of the contract.
I decided to just put the request back through, he accepted the second time. Maybe he was just confused the first time with it coming from ticket master, not Stub hub.
I put in the notes a reference to Stub hub so perhaps that would be a good idea going forward!

Because I didn’t want to sell at a loss out of principal, I gave my Orlando tickets to a friend. But he doesn’t have a smart phone and can’t figure out how to download tickets. In the end I’m lending him my passes. But this whole not printing tickets thing is one real pain in the ass.

I sold via stub hub for the galaxy match, no issues at all.

However for the Orlando match I sold via stub hub, did everything I was supposed to do and got my money. Then on this past Saturday (3/10), I received an email from NYCFC ticketing system that the buyer had declined my ticket. So I have my money, but now I also have my ticket.

The buyer has to be held accountable for that. You can't go through the steps of purchasing a ticket to then later decline it.

The weird thing is that the buyer paid for it. I have their money. So do i try to re-transfer it to them? Return their money? Relist the ticket?

(What a mess this system is.)

I was going to say you wait until you hear more since you've already been paid, but then you may be setting yourself up to get screwed because if you have to refund the money, then you will definitely want the ticket relisted ASAP.

I'd email your rep and tell them what a disaster and inconvenience this is and ask for what you should do.

Or ask StubHub for clarification on how this works. If they purchase the ticket and then refuse delivery, what happens?

I just send a long email to the club today. I hate sending those things, but this is ridiculous. None of us even know how to get our 5% back.

I talked to one of their reps via live chat. (I couldn’t find an email address, live chat is the only option other than a phone call.)

They suggested that possibly the buyer accidentally deleted the email containing the ticket. So I am trying to re-transfer the ticket to the buyer again. Also she said StubHub would send an email alerting the buyer that my ticket would be coming.

It's kind and generous of you to go through all this trouble, but isn't the 10% (because I doubt we're ever seeing that 5% back) you pay Stubhub exactly for the purpose of handling the crap part of the transaction? This system really makes us work for what should be something as simple and hitting a few buttons on your phone or computer. And then charges us for the privilege.

At this point I’m thinking about the person who wants to go to an NYCFC game, paid for a ticket and now doesnt have it. That’s who I’m trying to work things out with.

As far as larger picture goes, yeah I am pretty displeased with the whole set up. I’m sure most of us are. And I’ve expressed my disappointment to my ticket rep

For some reason this club insists on putting the plane together as it takes off down the runway. It doesn’t matter what they try to do. They suck at operations.
