Being able to buy and sell players for real money inside the league, means that teams can compete with each other for players. Single entity defense blows up. My guess is that funny money would be treated differently.

You bring up a very good point. GAM & TAM should only be used to further our own team’s roster by increasing our CAP, not trade it to another team to make their roster better.
If we’re bringing in a DP, use infinite outside resources (eg cash money) rather than finite league resources. It’s impossible to believe there aren’t players outside of the league that are obtainable as equal/better than Rossi.
Sure. With a little soccer on the side. Plenty of leagues where he could play more than he will in MLS going forward.
Maybe he can go to Korea with Mix. On a side note, what the crappiest league Mix has to go to and under perform in before people admit he might not be all that good and that could be the explanation as to why things didn't work out at NYCFC?
What’s the basis of you saying he’s underperformed? He did quite well when he left NYCFC for the Swedish team and he’s a main cog on his current team.
Haha, it's the offseason and there's no rumors to talk about might as well stir things up a bit. Maybe not the place but I do wonder how the Mix defenders rationalize that since leaving NYCFC he hasn't stuck with a single team and he progressively found himself in leagues of lower and lower quality with each subsequent move.
Yes 2 goals in 16 appearances in the K-league which is a lower quality league than the USL.
I'm ready to move on from the we suck/no we don't debate at least until we fill out the roster.
Hell, I'm ready to invite the Blue Moon contingent back to see if they'll still explain we're a bunch of ingrates because we're guaranteed to win. Anything to spice it up right now.
Those were hostile days but always entertaining. I'm sure they'd have some opinions on how grateful we should all be that the god that is Pep graciously bestowed one of his top assistants on our lowly undeserving club.
Sorry you're right I missed the assist numbers because he has zero, in one of the lowest quality first division leagues in the world.

Not trying to be argumentative, but if he’s playing in a crap league, it means he’s also surrounded by crap players. That’s not to say he would then dominate as the big kid in the children’s match, but as a box to box he can only do so much on the scoring side if the cast he’s supporting is of questionable ability.
I only pray Cincinnati put all of their available resources into signing Mix, Poku and Jonathan Lewis. Such an unstoppable force would surely revolutionize MLS for years to come.
I’m not advocating in hindsight to have had him last year, but the two things he did well was score in the box (which we had problems with at the end of the season) and hold/protect the ball in possession (which we didn’t have when Herrera was out); like Herrera, he could take a beating and still have the ball at his feet running at the defense.
He’d have been a nightmare defending since he never did that, and that was the black mark against Lewis. So he’d never have seen the field.
Why are we assuming he's more talented than those around him? If he's in a crap league surrounded by crap players in the middle of his prime, might be time to start considering that he's not very good. That was my original point.
