And they are losing them for free.

Look up Bobby Duncan. Part of a 43 goal strike partnership in LFC U squad. Sat out a year of academy ball to get away from City. It’s not an isolated incident. It’s common at this point.

Hell, Rafa Camacho left them, too. And that’s why LFC got Kijana Hoever, top5 best teenage defender prospect in the world. He saw a path. No path with City.

But how could there be. It’s never been built there. They don’t know what that means. Buy some players, build some shit, win with literally no real fans except the ones who resent what you’ve done to the club.

Sorry Midas, I do like a lot of what you post, but that is the biggest load of bullshit I have read on here. Bobby Duncan left because his cousin Steve Gerrard got to him, and he sat out the final year of his academy contract. Camacho was shown the door because of his attitude, as he was by United. Hoever, I have never heard of, so no idea how good he is.

The only player that I regret leaving is Sancho, but the club offered him 30k a week to stay. Unfortunately, he had Sterling and Sane to battle against. He wanted a promise of first team football, that Pep would never give.

There are plenty of comings and goings in every club with younger players, Chelsea have won 7 of the last 9 FA Youth Cups, and 2 Youth Champions League Titles, yet have not brought those youngsters through, and get much less shit than we do.

Fair play on most of that. I wanted to stir up some fun debate, and sadly, no one was up for it. I'm over it now, as I've been sick the past few days.

Well you caught a big one there lol I hope it makes you recover more quickly. On a serious note, I was pissed off we lost Sancho and to a lesser extent Bobby Duncan. I would like nothing better than see more kids come through at City. Hopefully this happens at NYCFC and they can take the club forward.

In regard to Lewis, I do think there is a player there and I hope he gets more opportunities this season.

The bug I got was definitely bad, not sure how big. Dropped a few pounds at least.

Agree on Lewis.

The Liverpool media I follow have been talking up the City academy talent for several years now as being head and shoulders above anyone. I guess most of the failure to hang on to talent is just that overflow of good prospects, plus bringing in big time senior players coming home to roost.

We don't really have any excuses over here at NYCFC, though. I am still annoyed about playing time going to the likes of Amagat and McNamara overs Sands, and I don't really get bringing in so many "TAM" level players in winger positions who don't produce as much as Lewis while getting far more opportunity. But the team comes out and criticizes Lewis consistently. It's some weird deflection of responsibility or something.

To be honest Chelsea's youth has been the best in the country for nearly a decade now. Our youth has been up and down. What attracts the players to us, is the fact they can get a first class education, even if they don't make the grade.

You are right regarding NYCFC. Some of the visa players have been very poor. Hopefully Lewis can make himself a permanent fixture. As for Dom, I do hope it's not he case of a good assistant, unable to step up to be a good manager. When Brian Kidd was assistant to Ferguson at United he was excellent, but failed miserably as a manger For me some guys are just not cut out to be the main man.

They want to look like a better NJRB. Bring those same quality kids through with more guys like Medina and Taty. That’s from “my guy.”

What does that mean? I don’t understand.

Block the path to the first team with mediocre, unproven talent that you give chance after chance?

They would like the team to be built using primarily Homegrown and domestic players and fill in the gaps with younger South Americans with the dollars they are willing to spend.

They just happen to suck at picking the younger South Americans at this point.

And identifying the gaps, unless their dream is 10 wingers and SJ.
