2019 Season Ticket Thread

Realistically, it will take another 4 years to have a stadium (1 more to find/purchase; 1 to complete planning, permitting etc; 2 years to build). That’s at minimum. You can save a lot of money in that time.

Think about it- realistically, the team could exist for close to a decade before we have a stadium. #patricofmustgo. #CFGFail
I’d like to think there is a design in place and nearly ready to go for multiple sites - that would save about a year of time, and considering what a stadium costs, an extra design shouldn’t cost that much in commissions

Edit: so we’re only fcked for a minimum 3 more years.

So I opted out for next year.
After consideration financially and schedule-wise, I figure it'll be a lot easier on me if this next year I take it game-by-game because I'm a student and paying for a season ticket ain't the easiest thing, as well as just school getting in the way too. Probably for 2020 I'll sign back up, once I (hopefully) have a job with a steady income.

And so it begins

Anyone get a gift card from their rep recently?

It actually began a week or so ago when people mentioned they were opting out.
I ain't the first, and I probably won't be the last for the 2019 season.
But honestly it's mostly because of my financial position, not necessarily the bad handling of sth. If I could, I'd just ride it out until it (hopefully) gets better rather than opt out for a season and come back the next.

I hear you, I could "ride it out" in my seats for the next 10 years. But I'm annoyed they told me they were fixing the Stubhub situation by midseason, and now silence. I'll just "ride it out" from the SS to minimize my financial risk & casualties. And buy my old seats back at a discount when I want to sit there for nostalgia's sake.

Welcome to the chaos of the Supporters section!! ;)

That's what I was thinking of doing as well, instead of opting out, but I decided nah.
How many of the forum sit (or, well, stand...) in the supporter section? I know until now for sure Adam and I don't, and I know there's a few that sit behind the other net as well.

I come with my daughter. So I probably will sell my SS seats and buy below face elsewhere when I go. Probably for less than I sell my SS for! I've sat around the whole stadium the last 4 years, and I've enjoyed the different perspectives. Maybe now I'll also start choosing based where friends are sitting each match. That's a whole new level I never had when 'stuck' in my STH seats.

I mean, I just trade my saturday matches in for matches my friends can attend and it moves me around my section, but I haven't tried other sections before. I generally like the view we get where we sit.

You could also immediately trade-in your SS tickets for credits to be used to buy other seats at, I believe, founding member prices.

That's what I'll probably do with my SS seats next year as even they are selling for $10 or so below face on StubHub (before fees).

I don't think there's a ton here in the SS, but I'm in 237.

I'm technically in 236 and 237, spend most of my time at the top of 237. Will loiter over to other areas of the Supporters section here and there, like the front of 236, next to the drums in 237, and occasionally 235.

I'm personally keeping my seat as I don't want to lose my founding member status, but I don't blame a single person who wants to opt out of this shit. There has been a serious lack of transparency with many issues regarding the club, not just about the stadium (which is its on saga to begin with).

Downgrading keeps my status

I’m of the philosophy that if i reduce to SS, i can always break even by re-selling. My founders price + GA + the weird demand for those over better midfield section, makes it a solid play to hold my place in line without coming out of pocket by the end of the season.
 "weird demand" for the best section in the stadium!!!

Just got an email from my rep Danielle, she’s leaving. That sucks, she was one of the good ones.

i disliked her actually. She always promised shed take care of things for me and was super nice on the phone but never followed through and always had excuses. Also, she never ever followed back up with me i would have to be the one to call her back to find out if there was any kind of updates.
