2019 Season Ticket Thread

Team did it to themselves with their greedy resale policy. Very short sighted if you ask me. I’d rather buy on the cheap from the suckers than be the sucker anymore.

I agree completely this is 100% on the team and their poor treatment of season ticket holders, my worry is that we will suffer from it based on how they react to the shrinking revenue base.

i think the the people who arent renewing its more to do with with secondary market being cheaper and problems selling tickets they cant use rather than team performance. on top of that stub hub was a fucking disaster.
Right, but those people drop their ST & instead buying on the secondary market is still a NET loss on ticket sales. Their stubhub purchase is simply a repackaging of another STH’s ticket(s).

Edit: and gbservis gbservis already answered you with same NET loss

That still seems like it's going to drive down total sales for the team. Right now a large chunk of season tickets that the team already has money for just go unsold because of the soft secondary market and the stubhub difficulties. Those leaving will remove money from the season ticket pool and likely replace it by buying secondary market tickets which does nothing for the team. So it's still a net loss for the team in total ticket sales.

I dont disagree. Just dont think team performance is having much of a factor on people renewing their tickets or not. Especially, in this forum. It's secondary to all the other bullshit

Let's see if all these people, myself included, who dropped seats to buy off the secondary market rebalance the secondary market. Fewer listings, more buyers mean higher prices.
I wish I could see the renewal rates, no question it is terrible this season.

Just spoke to my rep about the downgrade to SS next season. Said there will be an email next month where I can relocate. Rep confided in me that all the reps are doing the same as me. SH was a disaster and makes no sense to hold higher cost seats when secondary market is so low.

Was looking at SH today, you can sit almost any section you want for $14-$19. maddening.

Reps have season tickets? I thought they all worked during the matches.

I was told this rep had tickets. Known this rep for a while, didn’t seem like a fib. Feel bad posting rep’s disclosure here, so doing my best not to use anything to identify that person.

Maybe they want it for friends and fam to go? Or get a special rep price they can keep even if they move to another job?

Some reps and others who work for the team have their own tickets. They use them when they rotate off games, for friends/family, and to join them for off games and parts of games.

My biggest gripe is not being able to sell my tickets easily and for what I want.

I have to be honest though. Watching the Montreal game and seeing Amagat running around the pitch, I second guessed my decision to renew. The tickets and playing in a baseball stadium is pushing it, but tolerable. If this is the product we are putting out, it's no longer tolerable.

As far as STH not renewing and buying secondary market tickets...that's a slippery slope. Most will not buy/attend the same amount of games and some will start going less and less as time goes by.

To dispel Jordan's tweet...

This year they enrolled everyone in relocation rather than having to sign up to relocate. This doesn't mean you have to relocate. Maybe it just makes the IT for season ticket persons easier if they want to relocate.

The way they are doing it this season makes more sense to me, in previous seasons it's always seemed like a weird process requiring you to opt in. The emails in past years made it sound like you should only opt in if you had full intention of moving. I have no idea if I want to move or not but each year I at least wanted to see my options. It's nice not having to opt in this time around.

Absolutely much better to have it done this way, but it also signals that they are bleeding ticket holders, as we expected.

Wow, I am not until the following Tuesday morning. I wonder how much they are spacing things out.

Of course, that's just when your option opens, you can go in and make the change starting at that time and running through Dec 14.

Friday is not even the first day. My appointment is Thursday. Not sure if that's even the first day.
