Andrew Jacobson [Midfielder]

Im interested in the TAM we got. You have to wonder who we are looking at signing, hopefully a winger

Link? Reasoning?

www.ballislife.com keyword: wack.

he was the most below avergage, mediocre on a good day defensive midfielder i've ever seen in my long lasting years of life.
he squandered possession more than any other player (except maybe khiry)
he contributed less than nothing to our attack, each and every time we/he had the ball.
(let me guess "hes a cdm he doesnt need to contribute to the attack") if thats your rationale, dont bother reading the rest of this post.
defensively, he was ok at best. still not good enough to even be considered a sub... if being ok, (not even good) defensively is a reason to start someone, then idk what to tell you, rethink your priorities.

all the games he didnt play, our attack looked like they had an idea of whats going on... why im explaining this a year later, i have no idea. this guy isnt a soccer player. he couldnt make it anywhere else. he tried at stabaek and lorient and never saw the field.

Good for Andrew. They just had a second child (or are about to), so he’s probably ready to be home with the kids and wife.

I don’t believe he’s earned enough over his career to just retire and stay home. But maybe a job with less travel could be in his future. Or maybe his wife brings home the bacon (kosher bacon of course for a nice Jewish boy like Andrew).

I had the same thought on giving up his earning potential, but he did grow up in Palo Alto, so (complete speculation) he may come from some level of wealth that's allowing him to do this.
