Angelino [Defender]

if man city cant get stones from everton it might open a big opportunity for angelino as kolarov might have to move from lb to cb permanently.

are we rooting for his career? I could be wrong, but I get a snobby feel from this guy, like he thought he was better then nycfc. I really didn't think the guy was amazing. I will be rooting for matarrita's career 100x more then angelino's.

Although I prefer Matarrita and think he is an upgrade - I don't think that wishing either player success is mutually exclusive. Angelino energized our attack at a time when we were pretty desperate. I don't think he was snobby - he has high aspirations to play in the EPL. It is like a kid who has to go to to a city or state college (nothing wrong with either), but ultimately would like to transfer to an Ivy. Show up to where you can initially get in, put in work, and move up to where you set your aspiration.

Also, Angelino was only 18. We can't all be as humble as Jack Harrison at 19. If people finalized their level of support for my success based upon their perception of my arrogance or demeanor at 18...:eyes:

why wouldn't you? he played hard while he was here and left on good terms at the end of a loan.
Except in Group C of CL. Fuck him then ;) MON THE HOOPS!

He has been loaned out until the end of the season to Girona FC (Spanish 2nd division) - a club MCFC has strong ties with.

Hmmm.... Due to MCFC wanting him back? Or is it a character issue? I know when he was here he never really made himself available for fans and if I remember correctly his mom always watched over him.

Girona just couldn't handle him. The fathers in the city told the club he was scheming on all their hot daughters.

Wine 'Em, Dine 'Em, 69 'Em.

lol, when he picked his jersey #, it was a big red flag this guy is a juvenile mentally. I didn't hate him, but I never really liked him. His NYCFC is a stepping stone attitude was such a turn off..... and that stupid ass jersey number, gtfo.

That was his number at EDS, they gave them high numbers there as far as I remember.

Exactly right T Tom in Fairfield CT - similar to how Kelechi Iheanacho is #72. Man City EDS players get a number based upon the order they come into the academy - they typically become attached and choose to keep those numbers. See below from Wikipedia:

I suppose if he didn't like the number when it was assigned he might be scared to say can I get a new one being that he was asked to train with a huge club like MCFC why rock the boat. And I suppose he could have grown attached to it over time as silly as it is. So I guess I can't fault him there, so I recant my calling him juvenile under those circumstances ( although he looks so smarmy I think he really does like it for what it is).

So basically what seems to have happened is that Girona asked to terminate his loan because they couldn't find a use for him - he just wasn't getting any minutes ahead of their other players. MCFC managed to then hook him up with a loan at Real Mallorca, who may be a level above Girona but are firmly in the relegation zone while Girona are looking in good position to get promoted, and so could Mallorca probably be viewed as the worse team right now.
