    No not initially.

What I will say is that when you're a kid with more money than sense a bike with damn close to a bhp per lb gets to be very enticing. At least that's what it looked like back then, life gets expensive, fuck I'm old.

Ok first off you are not that hot shit, or to be more personal to my motivations. You are not Ghostrider and you are not on the Uppsala run:

You should have some fun and enjoy the life free of the cager restraints. What you should not do is endanger life and limb in there pursuit of how fast can I go.

TaurusTaurus get a god damn Kawasaki 250cc that you can ride the shit out of; that will teach you how to bike. the absolute last thing you need is a 200 mph superbike that will teach you how to die the fastest. Trust me, from a guy who made those mistakes and very nearly paid the ultimate price for them. Get something little and fun, you have the rest of your life to push it, don't try to from the first step on the journey

Edit: Have some fucking fun as a newbie, trying to thread the needle at 300kph just makes dead newbies.

This is why I got rid of the ninja. You can say "no that's not me, I'm not that stupid" all you want, but when you have all that power at the simple flick of a wrist it gets very tempting.

Yuuuup. Thats how you get dead people.

Fuck man, even with "just" 105 bhp and a 500lb bike I still flick that puppy downwards way too often.

TaurusTaurus You need to understand that the shittiest bike has the power to weight ratio of a god damn hypercar. And a really high end bike, like the Ducatti's, basically has a power to weight ratio that cannot be matched in a vehicle with four wheels and an internal combustion engine.

This shit will kill you if you aren't careful.

    Buell XB12 for me :D

This country is SO backwards in the way we do motorcycles. In Europe you have to start with a small displacement bike and work your way up. Here you can go out and a GSXR the day you get your license. Incredibly stupid and dangerous.

When I first got my M1, I tried to start off riding a huge Honda cruiser. It was totally unmanageable for me just starting out. So I picked up a cheap, Chinese scooter and rode that around for a couple of months. It's a great way to start out. It gives you the confidence of navigating on two wheels whiteout the distraction of shifting gears. It made for a super easy transition to an actual bike.
