Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? NOOOOOOO

Was it over when Vieira started Mikey Lopez? NOOOOOO

Was it over when Tommy Mac is our starting winger? Oh wait...

I hope we go with a mostly full lineup. I think Villa and Harrison will be good to go, as will be Wallace. If we can somehow miraculously get 60 out of Ring, I'd be very happy. Will we see Chanot-Callens in the back? Return of Ben Sweat is alright in my book. I'd even take Pirlo back in the lineup given Ring can start, but he must be a little worn down.

It's a lot to ask of the team, but I hope they really go at Orlando and try to score early, maybe give up the higher pressing to save Villa and Jack after they've played 120-130mins in the last week and really try to possess and break down Orlando's midfield and back line. Villa and Harrison looked so crisp together vs. RSL that it was a shame we had to eventually go long with everything. They were really "on".

It's going to be the best team PV can put out there. He didn't rest so many players to hold anything back for this game. Here is my prediction.

Bench: Yugo, McNaMullet, Stertzer, Hey Mikey!, R.J., Brilliant!, Lurch

The only question is whether he sits Pirlo in favor of someone like TMac, but I doubt it.

I hope TMac is not run out there in the starting XI, don't mind him on the bench. I honestly don't mind Pirlo in the starting XI for this one.

If its not Pirlo, I want Stertzer out there in that spot. I wouldn't be too upset with that.

Something else that is much less likely, but IMO would be quite exciting would be to move Jack into the midfield, and run out JLew on the wing. But that would probably be getting way too cute with the lineup. Would be fun to "simulate" a match like that though.

If Harrison doesn't move to the midfield to bring in Lewis, I could see PV going with Stertzer or Lopez next to Ring. I hate Lopez, but in the Florida heat, he's a fitter option and brings speed to the middle.

If Lewis doesn't see any time as a starter or sub, it's open season on PV and the club for not using a guy they broke the draft bank on. It's getting beyond ridiculous.

I will be thoroughly, thoroughly impressed if Ethan White can go another 90 this weekend. I don't put it past him, though, he seems like a very able athlete and hasn't had to be thrown very far up-field. Maxi, too, he's really played strongly these last few games. Whew. Now I'm tired.

I agree, I think White will get the nod and either finish the game, or make it deep into the second half. White definitely tried to get forward last game once Harrison came on - I remember at least two opportunities, and maybe there are others I'm blanking on, which isn't bad considering Harrison was only on for slightly more than a third of the game.

Soccer in the City guys think Pirlo's going to get run over by Orlando. Are they really that big of a pressing team?

I mean it could happen. But he was in the lineup the first two times we played them this season, and we dominated them, so it's not something that prior evidence would suggest is going to happen.

Jack played centrally some when he came on

This Pirlo fiasco is why you don't sign Maxi fucking Moralez as a DP.

Looking over MLS roster rules, we could play Pirlo on the season ending injury list. This would open up his spot on the senior roster and his international roster spot. However, we would not receive salary relieve, so his salary charge would not be removed, so we couldn't get his DP spot.

No idea what would happen if he chooses to retire.

Though, it a minor injury according to the report and they say he's expected to be back in training next week.
