The Milkman finally looked at a map...

Take this as a sign of soccer's growth. Our players don't run their own social media accounts.

It's not an accident that many of our players didn't have accounts on various platforms until they signed for us.

Hint: if they weren't active on SM before, it's not them now.

Jalen Robinson the 2nd pick made by Atlanta has played 0 minutes. Though Julian Gressel has played in all 11 games, starting 10 of them 2 goals and 2 assists. I think the current Rookie of the Year front runner.

Exactly. This doesn't mean we won't get terrific productivity in the years ahead from both guys but this is now 3 years in a row where we've received limited production from our draft picks to start a season.

In 2015, due to injury and lack of skill, Shelton played a limited schedule. In 2016, Harrison missed 2-3 months through injury. And now this.

The Lewis situation is frustrating because the options ahead of him are not performing, PLUS we gave up a lot to get him. If we had drafted late in the 1st and not traded away so much GAM (that could have been used this season to upgrade the position) I don't think I would be as bothered. I hope we see him today, even if he's terrible. If just to know why not. Like we learned with Camargo this week.

I still think Vieira and the front office, especially David Lee, our MLS Salary guru, understands that limiting Lewis' minutes this year will keep his Generation Adidas status for next year so his salary charge isn't on the budget. We know that Harrison is going to graduate from Generation Adidas this year so next year, his salary budget applies.

We get that. But you can't sacrifice this season for salary cap gains 2 years from now (he'd still be GA next year). If he's our most talented player at the position and best chance to win that night, then play him. We won't have villa forever (or other players) and you never know when injuries will hit.

And back to the talk of not playing SuperDraft picks, aside from Lewis, Awuah is also not in the 18.

We didn't sacrifice as much salary cap space ($75k for him) this season for Awuah. Also, he wasn't drafted #3 overall. Different expectations. $75k would have gotten us a minimum salary bench depth guy. $250k spent on lewis could have landed us a quality international this year.
