And this is a good or bad situation?

Alright, I'm going to come out and say it. I think we're getting a little too reliant on Villa. Someone's going to need to start producing goals on a more regular basis or else the likelihood of getting through a playoff series remains against us. Hopefully Wallace and Harrison starting together will be better for us going forward. We've really been unlucky to always be down a few of our best.

When Wallace returns from injury, he'll hopefully produce, and Harrison has been ice cold lately. 0 goals, 1 assist in his last five games; he had 8 goals and 5 assists in his first 18 games.

Moralez has also been ice cold production wise -- he's played well tactically, but he has 1 goal and 0 assists in his last 8 games, a stretch that dates to June 17.

That's a long way of saying I think we'll be fine as long as those two guys start producing a bit more.

Here is both my predicted XI and my preferred XI.

IMG_9735.JPG

Bench: Yugo, Stertzer, McNaMullet, Maestro, Hey Mikey!, R.J., Lurch

If Wallace is available, he either slots in for Lewis or is a planned 2nd half sub, and Stertzer is the odd man out.

Let us not forget that the field we're playing on Saturday night is perhaps the largest in the league 120x75. There's going to be a lot of room to move and a lot of space to cover. This game is not for the slow & immobile. In 2015, they ran us off the field with 4 goals in the 2nd half with the likes of TMac (Grabavoy subbed on), Pirlo, and Poku. Granted, we fielded a USL team in that match, but none of those players are known for fitness or distance covered Over 90min.

This year we have thoroughbreds across the roster, and provided PV doesn't outthink the lineup, we should be able to take them to the woodshed early and often with the way we've been getting breakaways and our close-qtr passing. This is a match where PV and the team needs to be ruthless and run up the score - we need the goal differential tiebreaker to swing back in our favor.

The guys on SITC made a good point about Jack, which is that he is getting a lot more attention from defenses right now.

He does seem to get double teamed a lot more. Most teams have keyed in the one the fact that White doesn't overlap often and is not a major threat when he does so that has to be hurting Jack. We've done well with the outside backs we have but between injuries and general roster weak spots both Lb and Rb are our weak links.

Deleted because I think I deduced Khiry is Q-Tip.

I would call him GWSWMFYODOTR

Guy who Snapchats with my 14 year old daughter on the reg.

But it's actually very cute. He seems like a good guy. They had a nice brief in person re-union at the City Send off after the match last Sunday.

My best guess was Shelton

Yes, Q-Tip is Shelton. He is much less Q-Tippy with the new haircut, but I haven't updated the nickname. Interested in any recommendations.

So many of you mistake heavy running for slow running.

Not sure anyone cares how he runs, it's more of an issue of his speed vs the players he's trying to beat to a spot/ball, or catch up with.

ETA: Lewis wins that ball cleanly, Wallace either gets there first or is in a good position to go shoulder to shoulder for it.
