Mata could go in as a wing. I think vieras played him there before.

Hivemind believes Villa and the Milkman can beat any team in the league 2 vs. 11.

I'm enjoying the Hivemind's Borg-like personality so far.

Came in as a LW twice this year when working back from his first extended injury stint. If I recall correctly it worked well and gave the attack a nice boost. Wouldn't mind seeing that again.

For a moment, I thought you meant Simon Borg, and I was quite confused.

Hivemind thinks the Club should sign a back up for Herrera. Someone like this guy.

Seems weird that Ring practiced in full last week, and is now not practicing at all. Also, please come back soon Villa

My biggest qualm with this match.

The team flies out on Friday for a Saturday game at high altitude. Is ~24 hours enough to adjust to high altitude?

im pretty scared of what we look like if we go down Johnson for a while as well. I have never really been sold on Johansen.

That's something that's scheduled pretty far in advance right?

Unless they have a late fitness test and don't know their 18. Very possible.

There are two trains of thought on the matter:

    1. Get in early and acclimate "fully"
    2. Zip in at the last minute so your body doesn't get caught (being tired) between shifting physiologically. Then zip out. If timed right, and the team doesn't tax themselves in training at altitude before the match, they may be fine, but subs will need to be timed right and not our typical wait 'till 75+ with the last one at 85' (wtf). This is the strategy the MNT has used for games at Azteca.

This is very odd because I recall Vieira saying that during long west coast trips he wants to be in that city as early as possible to adjust to the jetlag and travel.

I'm chalking up a loss and would be our first back to back losses of the season.

Yeah that was the plan with LA last time, team was there for a few days but that's mostly to get caught up with time. Has Vieira ever played at high altitude before? I can't imagine he would have in Italy, England or with France.

So basically no Villa, Ring, Herrera for this one. We're screwed.

Who plays again first? Matarrita or Herrera?
